Can I recommend buying a few bags of copper sulfate to pour on the ground before the concrete. It discourages roots from going into vulnerable areas. I always sprinkle it around after the concrete is poured but since the driveway is there i’d do it before the rock and concrete.

My garage floor has to be redone as well, because my father captain penny pincher decided to pour the new slab over the old one the contractor told him it will crack in a year and it did. So now that I own the house both slabs have to be removed and reed bar put in. Like it should have back in 1982

I am willing to bet there is no reed bar under the rest of the floor either. But you can only do what the customer wants
