Shiva does not smoke by the way. And Sati does not go and cry and complaint to her father, why he did not invite her husband. Note that she herself was NOT invited for the yagya. But she thinks that being his daughter, she has every right to attend such a big ceremony. And she even asks Shiva to join her but he refuses and lovingly tells her not go either, as she is not invited. But she still goes. When Daksha sees her, he humiliates her and Shiva. Since she cannot stand that her beloved husband is humiliated in front of the entire assembly of deities and guests, she goes into deep tapas/tapasya and turns to ashes with her yogic abilities. Another version says that she jumps into the yagya fire and immolates herself. The earthquake probably happened because you started by saying Sita instead of Sati and the earth had to rip apart for Sita to go back to her mother, Bhumi. Sita is Lord Rama's wife. Just wanted to correct, having grown up with these and my grandmum narrating them before my afternoon nap after lunch.

I believe without moving with with your thumb up and sliding the chest to 1 side first, and instead turning thumb down immediately to go in, you may be injuring your shoulder over the long term - sorry to say that - I got to KPJAYI for instruction (10 years)
