Thanks fren. I found there's just this extra something that the Dispatch Master does with Drop D, C, and B. It gives clean chords a cool sound when the low E-string is dropped.

Agreed. It's slowly becoming my go-to reverb since I bought it a couple years ago.

Happy to have ya and thanks for watching fren. I first started this channel summer 2022 and I was posting once a week for the last two years. Took a long break most this year but it's great to be back again. I'll continue to post these demos but I also have ideas for different stuff in the future I wanna mix in.

Great thing about pedals and gear is there are a ton to choose from nowadays to find what you like, because sound a very subjective thing. I personally like the Blue Sky but I only considered it because I found one used at a good price. If anyone asked me about buying a new Blue Sky at that price tag I would just tell them to look at alternatives that are $100.

The delay is mono and both pedals are just going into the input. I've have used the Metal Zone in the FX return before as a preamp in the past though.

I highly recommend one, even if it's used/older production. I've played so many different ones, owned some different production years, and to me it's still one of the best OD's. For years I would just set one to low gain/high volume as a boost for other overdrives or distortion/fuzz. It works well with everything.

@@RIFFpost Yea, I will have to grab one. Reminds me of saturation in some ways. I like to have saturation on especially with modulation, you can hear it working better with good saturation.

The blues breaker sounds much better in my opinion

@@jdl2180 yep and that's what it's all about! Personal preferences. I played the Blues Breaker many years ago when I knew a friend who had one and I would use it when we'd jam. I always liked it and still would consider getting one. I just always had a Blues Driver.

I used to have a BOSS Line Selector and I've been meaning to get another one for future videos.

I know people like to get the older production models or mod a new one/older one, but I bought this one new a few years ago and I like it as is. I've used all the other models over time and I personally thought they were all good.

@@RIFFpost that’s a super interesting opinion, I was actually considering to get it to have the clipping mod because I think that it’s a waste not to have both the turbo rat and regular rat in the same device, The regular is an ass kicking pedal as it is but for me the Turbo rat holds a special place because it was used in the production of the Foo Fighters debut album (they never reached that same punk rock level ever again) - I know my way around a soldering iron and already have the parts so I don’t see a reason why not to do the mod, specifically in my situation of course

I got a rat for my birthday last year, absolutely love it. It goes from Pink Floyd *literally, David used one on the Pulse tour iirc, this made me want one* to way too much gain. hilarity.

The RAT is a good pedal, no matter what one you have. I knew someone who had two of these on his board and would use them together for bunch of things, especially with delay. Always sounded cool.

Go for it if that is what you wanna hear. The DD-8 I am using has a +RV (delay + reverb) mode which I did use in this video. I personally like this setup with the delay, but I am not opposed to having a reverb with all 3.

and a pretty good BF-2 clone at that!

Green Russian is a good box, one of my faves. And the amp I use is a 40-watt tube Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV, which I replaced the OEM Celestion with an Eminence Swamp Thang speaker.

I unfortunately don't have the capability to record in stereo since I only have one amp. But I understand how if you can record in stereo with pedals that have that feature like the Avalanche Run, then it does sound cool.

I think it does. I no longer have a DS-1 anymore but I'm planning on getting another one and keeping it this time. I'll do a video of those two together once I have it.
