I’ve been living by that policy my whole adult life… “if it doesn’t look right, feel right or smell right” I leave it alone

Maybe pull things aside and have a monthly auction for them. If they don't sell after the 2nd time, scrap em. Just a thought.
@jerryjeromehawkins171214 сағат бұрын
Absolutely. That trailer could have had a second life. Then again, I'm sure he only has so much room.
@robhunter7511 сағат бұрын
@jerryjeromehawkins1712 just figured he could get more than scrap cost. Only pull the gold for auction

Cool, do you ever sell any of that scrap iron to customers? I would think you have a lot of stuff customers would buy at a premium over what you normally sell it for. Is it possible to talk to the head honcho about buying a small amount of items for a premium? I can't be the only one interested!

Anyone else spot the rotor that’s worn all the way through to the cooling fins? That one made some bad noises!
@tomrogers9467Күн бұрын
And all this waste is because the car manufacturers decided to make the rotors so thin they can’t be resurfaced and re used the way they used to be.

I AM AMAZED SO MANY ROTORS GET REPLACED, RATHER THAN REUSED , OR REMACHINED! AS FOR MY OWN USE I HAVE PUT NEW PADS ON MILDLY GROOVED ROTORS , AND STILL HAVE GOOD BRAKES AND GOOD SERVICE LIFE!!

Most rotors are not thick enough these days to turn nor is it worthwhile for most shops to bother.

I buy beds like that and cut them up and use the boxes on the outside of the shop.
@Comm0utКүн бұрын
Great minds think alike. My welding shop is a steel building so I bolted the top boxes from a service bed to the inside walls. The more storage well off the ground the better. I made a trailer with the rest of the bed by sawing the frame rails just behind the front suspension then doing the usual. Selling that paid for the donor truck with a decent profit.

Your first John Deere part is the corner of a pull type forage chopper, probably a 38. What you think is from a combine is a direct cut head for the forage chopper.
