What’s crazy is that the movie animation “the plagues dogs” is taken place in Coniston, where in the film, the two dogs were going to the store that was next to the black bull building.

had afew occassions lately a large group just descended on the town here i think its awesome none the police presence or closing off the town they did there own traffic control haha i actually would like to see the town close the main street off so many times a year to host such an event.

Probably the only wash of the year in the river. Never actually seen one of these none travelling travellers groom a horse any other time. Went to Appleby once. NEVER again. The police are there for a reason so is the RSPCA.

There is no such lake as Lake Windermere. It's simply called Windermere, after the similarly named town.....

@@Travel_Breeze Right, ok. Been to Keswick which is in that area I think (I was 14 when I went to the Lake district, so years and years ago). I was thinking this was Brown sea Island, Poole, so about 300ish miles away lol. Thanks. Edit: Just looked it up, 361 miles away, so not bad for a guess.

@@Travel_Breeze I bet it did. They're swift little thieves aren't they. Seen many a Greggs sausage roll snatched from hands by gulls. It's normally that fast you're still processing it's been taken by the time the birds swallowed it lol. I know these aren't sea gulls but forget which these are, if I even knew at all lol. I'm pretty good at naming Crow types but sea birds not so much.

you must its a fantastic day everyone is welcome or any other like Stow horse fare, Stow-on-the-Wold in Gloucestershire, England,. its a culture a way of life and many forget also an English Roma culture too more down south at the stow fare. But sadly times make it harder these days with highways and tarmac some bad eggs causing the public to turn against tyhe shows etc partly our faults you know hoe young blood and testosterone with pretty girls and a drink can get lol but also partly the public n the gorger's im messing no offence ha ha , much better back in the day when the right to roam was a human civil right, it so was much better in the past when meetings n first love relationships, friends made over horse deals were made at these fares, sitting around a yog with family. Happy days, but im getting old I'm English Romanichal line ,although I hear Appleby is starting to gain popularity again. A good book ive just finished id suggest for you is "The Girl in the Painted Caravan" Eva Petulengro

@@Travel_Breeze Thank you for your reply. Travelled to this part of England 4 times for the past 8 years, all in October/November windows. Each time between 4 to 6 days at Ambleside alone, besides nearby village like Grasmere & Keswick. Always stay at Waterhead. Thought of travel there again this autumn/winter.
