I love your video, however it did not explain how to adjust the governor to the stock setting. I picked up a 2007 Turf 2 Club Car that someone has been messing with that runs great until the pedal is fully depressed- then starts stalling and backfiring.

Love your videos! Sorry about losing your dad, so tough. My 2005 Precedent gas giving me intermittent issues. It did this twice to me. Usually starts and runs fine, except the odd time, I press the pedal, it makes that slow “turn over” sound, but the engine isn’t starting. Maybe starter/generator brushes worn? The last time it did this, I hand pushed the cart a few yards, and it started like normal had been good. Any ideas?

If you experience slow cranking, it could be a few things. Check your battery voltage and make sure its 12.8 volts at rest. Also check to make sure you are seeing over 14 volts while running. Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. The solenoid could also have worn contacts internally. You can measure voltage on both sides of the large terminals. With your meter leads, negative to the battery negative and positive to the battery side of the solenoid. When its cranking, check voltage on the starter/generator side of the solenoid. It should be very close. Anything less than 2 volts indicates a worn solenoid. If its less than 2 volts, I would check the brushes. They may need to be replaced. If they look good, the starter/generator could have a faulty winding and may need to be replaced entirely.

Thanks for the response. Currently my cart is in a snow bank. I’ll go over the things you listed I in the spring before I take it to the course. I had checked the battery voltage, and the charging voltage and both were good. 12.8 volts and 14.4. I’ll check the solenoid and maybe I’ll pull off the starter/generator and inspect. This problem only happened twice last year. Played about 80 rounds on golf last summer so it’s very intermittent. It would just crank but not run. Once we pushed my cart in with another cart. I went home to get my tools and when I came back to my cart, it cracked and ran like normal. The second time it happened, I pushed the cart by hand and it started as normal.

Hello Kevin, I have a 2005 club car precedent. My positive battery wire needs to be replaced, but I am not sure where to find a replacement that looks the same on the end that connects to the solonoid

I found your videos and you seem very knowledgeable. I have a 2001 club card DS the belt on my clutch does not ride all the way to the top so my car very slow at top speed. I tried changing the belt and still have the same problem. What would be my next course of action?

Need to remind people that need to check the inlet air for the engine. It is easy to have leaves and other material to plug inlet flow of air and cause lack of cooling for the engine

I know how to fix that air cleaner removal, just reverse the bolts that hold the air cleaner to the down tube buy heating up the brass inserts with a solidering gun and pop them and reinstall them in the air cleaner box

My neighbor has messed with my golf cart and the last time (about ten days ago) he did something because my golf cart would just stop while driving. I put all the battery cables off and found one has some metal burned off. If I replace it will it work again? I put all the cables back on and the only time the lights will come on is if I put a battery maintainer on the third battery out of four.

good morning. what could cause an ezgo with the Kawasaki13.5hp engines drive belt to flip? the clutches seem to line up well and the engine mounts are good. the clutches appear to be working right but could the driven clutch not be closing or opening all the way and be causing the belt to flip over?

not a good idea trying to repair/re-bend the plate. it only weakens it further should another accident occurs. Just replace not repair

There's a lot going on with this cart. Most of it is customer-added wiring and it goes to random stuff. Typically, there should be a thick 8-6AWG and a 12-10AWG wire on the positive terminal. This one has all sorts of crap connected to the positive terminal.

i have a 2021 gas ezgo and i can just sit on the cart and not run it all all ,,, sit and run the radio for instance ,,after about 15 minutes to an hour power shuts off ,,sit for 5 minutes and power comes back on ??? it did it so i put a new ignition switch in ,,does the very same thing ???? im lost

Im hoping i just found the right guy to help me replace or clean old g22 Yamaha carb! parts are relatively cheap, my question is should i just put in a new carb or should i clean like this video? keep in mind this is my first ever mechanic "repair job" on anything ever. I have already replaced steering rack and front king pins. Any chance of another video showing exactly what you were taking off when removing carb? went fast for my beginner / less experienced eyes. Thanks in advance great video and will be reveiwing all that may help me in my first repair journey.

I followed this video to try and diagnose my club car ds. Battery shows 12.53 volts. Also 12 volts on red cable on starter solenoid. When tested the white cable stater/generator and hit pedal, it was 0 volts. Just bad solenoid, or could something else cause this? Thanks so much.

hi kevin new to your videos just subscribed excellent info A question please yamaha gas g16 golf cart intermittantly a no go when pedal is depressed voltage drops from 13 to 10v can continue to depress pedal muttiple times and it finally goes same issue w 2 diff batteries so not a bad cell in the batt thinking short in generator armature or pedal switch pulling down voltage (dont think pedal switch)? any suggestions are appreciated

If it gets slow after warm up, you need to adjust the valves. Do it on a COLD engine. I have a few videos showing this. There isn't anything to rebuild on these carbs. You will need to replace it if it cannot be cleaned. 99% of the time they can be cleaned. Fuel pumps on these either work or they don't. I wouldn't replace it unless its not pumping any fuel. I don't have any links to individual parts and I don't offer them for sale. Best place would be everything carts or buggies unlimited.

I have two 2019 Drive 2's 48 volt... Just like most on this chain, mine both run, lose power, solenoids click, flip run tow switch, both work temporaily and die... repeat process or let them sit. Batteries are fully charged. HELP!!!
