hearing a grown man crying for his mom in his last moments is the most heartbreaking thing ever.

I love that it takes a while to figure out what John really is and it the film doesn't just say it out right 😊 I think this is one of the best roles Michael Clarke Duncan has ever done.

Fun fact: Band of Brothers was filmed mostly in England using British film crews. Britain’s film industry was nearly dead at this point and a lot of the British actors and crew had zero experience with big budget productions like this. When Band of Brothers was made it completely revived the British filmmaking industry and in fact many of the crew who worked on Band of Brothers would later work on the Harry Potter franchise. They later admitted that without Band of Brothers it is highly unlikely Harry Potter would have ever been made, so all the Potterheads in the world have Easy Company to thank for the films.

Your problem is that you have a heart. Never apologize for having one. Not to get all preachy, but there should be more of it in the world. Keep up the good work. I'm really starting to enjoy your channel.

Wait, this movie made you cry? Imagine your reaction to films like Manchester by the Sea, Mystic River, Hereditary, Climax, Wind River, I Am Vanessa Guillen, Million Dollar Baby, Sicario, or playing The Last of Us Part II-those made a lasting impression on me recently.

Great episode. Can't wait for the next 8. Easy was what it was because of Sobel, but he wasn't a leader. I think you're right, it would have been drastically different if Sobel was in command of this.

You’re right about the theme of corporate greed. Hammond liked to say he “spared no expense” but the reality is he cut corners, underpaid his workers, and didn’t have adequate safety measures.

I haven't seen anyone remark on the "99" Delorian fire trails after Doc got zapped and went to 1885, but those are because the lighting caused the Delorian to spin and the rotational speed reached 88 mph which is also needed to active the time travel.

My Uncle lives in Oregon and after this show came out he looked up Donald Malarkeys address and went to his house to see if he would sign a copy of the book. Malarkey not only signed it but invited him in for coffee and they chatted for about an hour. He was a really cool guy.

Back during the time of payphones, you needed a quarter to "activate" (Get a dial-tone on the phone), so that you could dial 9-1-1. Once you got the dial-tone, you could then dial. Once you finished dialing, the system would recognize that you were making an emergency call to 9-1-1, and give you back your quarter. Still, it added an unnecessary step!

I don't know why but I love watching BoB reactions. Maybe because my Dad was a combat veteran and I grew up in the WW2/Korea era veteran community. So theres a lot that i understand and recognize when watching that most KZbinrs don't pick up on. You are highly intelligent. You understood and recognized a lot of the strategy and nuance most KZbinrs don't understand and are not able to verbalize. As far as Normandy is concerned, it is the largest amphibian launch. The largest amphibious landing actually was the Korean Wars Chinese invasion at Inchon. In a manner of hours the Navy and Air Force mobilized to get 1,000s of marines and soldiers off Inchon and away from Chinese invaders. Its not known because it was a retreat but in military terms it was a feat of epic proportion.

German equipment was pretty good, but often too complicated, making it break down easy in battle. Tiger tanks for example were like this. Although regular guns and the sort were usually quite high quality.

That's what that is. It's a spring steel clicker made to mimic the sound of a cricket which was not common in France at the time How was he ok? German grenades (potato mashers) were not fragmentation. They were explosives and required a added fragmentation piece developed later in war.

The "button" Winters produced to read the map was a small compass that paratroopers were issued should they be captured and were able to escape. They were small enough that a soldier could conceivably undo a seam of their jacket or pants and hide it inside. Most seemingly put them in their pockets or their pouches. Also, quick question is that tattoo on your forearm in Ogham?
