We have known each other for years and I have to say his food is the best the island of Rodos has to offer. His lamb is tender like butter. Kleftiko as well. His feta in bread dough with the cherries without words. So I don't have to list the other dishes anymore, they are all really good. For me, I have to say it's a top address you should definitely go to if you're in Rodos. In the summer months a reservation would make sense. I love this guy for his awesome food and his amazing and loving family.

Naxos is a truly beautiful island. I visited in 2016 and bumped into our Bishop God bless his soul on the boat back to Pireaus who was born in Naxos.

@@genkishan the original recipe has origine from the Byzantine, sugar in Greece came only after 1900, they were using honey to make halva but I suppose it got too expensive. Vanilla and spices were always available in Byzantine.

So in Greece is made with italian meringue O_o I saw other recipes, in which they're using only a sugar syrup, without the egg white

In this video he is using only sugar syrup that it is beaten using heat to look like a meringue, no eggs are used in the recipe, only sugar and tahini.

I also want to add we never smoked boerewors we braai (bbq) it over wood fire yes but never presmoke it like you guys do sausages in the USA even if we buy it here it's completely raw not presmoked I'm disappointed that you did that as this in very inaccurate to our way of cooking our beloved wors.

The best of the Greek islands (Not many tourists, rural life, real Greek, etc.) The best village on Mitilini. We have stayed here many times. Life is good here. The people here understand what is important: Family, friends, good food, Ouzo, social life. Hope to come back in september 2024 agian and meet all of our friends.
