I really like Alphabet and have owned shares since 2017. I might add more shares. It is nice that Alphabet started paying investors quarterly dividends. I am hopeful that they will have annual dividend increases like MSFT. MSFT has 20 consecutive years of annual dividend increases with a dividend increase CAGR of over 11% over the past 10 years. If we compare the four Mag Seven stocks that pay dividends, GOOG/GOOGL (Alphabet) has been the poorest performer over the past 10 years. Here are the rankings of total returns over the last 10 years: 1) MSFT 2) AAPL 3) META 4) GOOG. Of course, past performance is no guaranty of future returns. Nobody really knows which will perform the best in the future. Hopefully, all of them will do well. Most people should be extremely happy to own shares of all four. BTW, happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

in Thailand, Blue doesn’t need to chase from Red due to they are collusion with Red(talking about color, not brand). Eric(thai) of Blue always go to make under table deal with Red at famous short golf course in Bangkok. They agreed for Blue to lead on Modern Trade while Red leads on Traditional Trade. With this, they can manage their HQ. If any Lawyers would like to escalate to global anti collusion court, witnesses and evidences could be provided. It’s worth noting that (imo) shareholders only stand to gain from a breakup of any mega cap tech stock. Every shareholder will get shares in whatever offshoot companies form and a breakup allows investors to be more specific about what they invest in (ie: I’m not invested in Alphabet, but WOULD invest in a standalone stock for Google search or KZbin. I’m not a communist or anything, I just think is cases revolving around huge tech stocks everyone stands to gain from a breakup except company upper management. This is especially true since economics of scale are less of a boon with tech stocks as they are for stocks that work with more physical products or commodities. I know that’s all a hot take though in the finance community.
