Hi Iryna, I will be visiting Monteverde and Santa Teresa later this month. I watched all your videos of Costa Rica trip. Thank you very much for the wonderful views and useful information. I have a question about arrangement of the cars. I thought the ferry ride to the Nicoya Peninsula was a great idea. Did the car that picked you up at the hostel in Monteverde also ride the ferry with you and then go directly to Santa Teresa? Do you have any recommendations for a vehicle dispatch company?
@irynakorniienko10 күн бұрын
@@OhaK-e6z hi there! Thank you very much ☺️ I’m glad you enjoyed watching my videos and found them useful! ❤️ Yes, the ferry ride is a great idea and I highly recommend doing it. Yes, that’s right, you just book your transfer from Monteverde to Santa Teresa with a transfer company, and they will bring you to the port, provide you with the ferry ticket (you will ride the ferry on your own, but they will explain everything to you, don’t worry) and then, once you reach the Nicoya Peninsula, one of their representatives will meet you at the port, then take you straight to the minibus/car and bring you to your accommodation in Santa Tere. The whole process is super easy and convenient! I booked my transfer with the Hostel I stayed at in a Monteverde (and you can do the same, basically, just ask your accommodation in Monteverde to help you book a transfer with a good company, and they will 👍) hence, I don’t know the name of the company, but while in Costa Rica, I never had a bad transfer experience. Enjoy your trip! ☺️✨

The soup is Chicharo and common in Cuba. And very inexpensive to make. Friends of mine recall having to eat it every day at school because food supplies had dried up. It is made with dried yellow peas, and maybe a potato and other vegetables that may be available. Today, meat enriches it. I’ve eaten it at many different casas and every household makes it a little bit different. It is absolutely delicious. But for a Cuban that lived during the special period, often they will not eat it anymore because they had to eat so much during the special period

Bravo chef Bruno! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 he has prepared food for me years ago. Trinidad like most cities and towns in Cuba are so very safe. The people are warm and everybody looks out for travelers. Pre-pandemic I was living in Cienfuegos six months every year. But I would often visit Trinidad (40 minutes away and cheap by bus or a collectivo) to stay for four or five days to horseback ride in the Escambre mountains, enjoy the beautiful music, abundant in this unique city and take the beach bus to Playa Encon to spend the day. The country manages electricity due to years and years of shortage by rotating the grids. Different zones in each citywill have power certain hours every day. Everybody learns to manage their usage based on the grid schedule. Foreigners aren’t used to this, but Cubans are very used to it and the government makes sure that most services provided for foreigners have full access to food and power. Trinidad will always be the city I stay in to play. I’m also a solo female traveler.
