@pugglepuggle The warning light is usually caused by a faulty sensor, not the overall evaporative system. The problem is common but I guess it's not common enough for a recall.

Hi again Bob! The wiper de-icer is not just a nice feature, it is an important safety feature. Without it the ice stuck to the wipers will smear the windshield and create dangerous driving in a snowstorm. It is crazy Ford deleted this starting with 2024 MY.

@@fordmaverickmaniac The Canadian "build your own" website still lists the wiper deicer as part of the Lariat luxury package. We can only buy the Lariat with the luxury package here.

@Bob-xc2us oh right, deleted in the US. I guess Ford figured there is a big difference in weather southern Canada vs northern US.

@@fordmaverickmaniac I checked the US build your own website and the heated wiper option is still shown as part of the Lariat luxury package but is not available on any other trim level. The US website also indicates that the Lariat trim is only available with the luxury package. You can't get a Lariat without without the luxury package in Canada or the US. So it would appear that Ford is treating Canada and the US the same.

I wish it was built in, but the phone works well enough. Looking into Wireless carplay adaptors, but not sold on anyone yet. A lot of them seem like cheap knockoffs of knockoffs.

@reptiliancow It's RC again! Built-in Nav is instant and safer. My guess is a lot of people don't bother to plug in their phones, so they have to look down to see the directions. Built-in Nav keeps your head up.

Hi again Bob! Yes if you need to tow, you made the right decision. Since the Mav is like buying 2 trucks for the price of 1 full size, maybe buy the T also. Spread the miles out between them they will last twice as long.

@@fordmaverickmaniac I don't tow often and when I do it is usually under 2000lbs but I want to tow that weight in a vehicle that doesn't know it's there and if I have to tow something heavier, I can. Oh and the passing power and overall performance of the 2.0l is a must. I don't drive many miles a year so the extra fuel economy of the hybrid is almost meaningless. We get harsh winters where I live so the AWD makes more sense for me

You are right Jim, that is why I call the Mav a Tonka truck on my videos. Big truck owners make fun of me but I do not care. I don't need a real truck at 2X the price and 1/2 the MPG. The Maverick is perfect for camping, skiing, or throwing wet sandy towels in the bed after a day at the beach. I definitely do not need a real truck for the occasional trip to Home Depot or when I am just hauling... myself.

I ordered my Lariat in May of 2023. Took exactly 5 months to arrive. The hybrid deliveries at the time were around 18 months. I also paid msrp and got a good trade in for my 2019 4 year old F150 Lariat thanks to used car price bubble. Moving to the 2023 Maverick cost me $6,400.00USD out the door. Keep in mind that a fully loaded Lariat in 2023 was around $37,000.00 in US dollars and that's around $50,000.00 Canadian dollars.

The tailgate has a tie down on each side. Or strap around the front and use the tie down side rails. Good question!

The Mav XLT AWD 4k is at our place in Park City. This Tremor will end up there too. 2 at each house because we each need our own transpo for our work schedules.

Even towing 4,000 lbs is nothing unless you want to tow one of your other Mavericks.

XLT FX4 4k tow with P235 tires I wouldn't even consider the Lariat or the Tremor. I need the towing and payload capabilities and I'm not ever going to buy vinyl, synthetic leather, or leather seats. That's just me, I would have liked the lockers but not worth losing what I need. Then to top it off the reason I'm buying a Maverick is mileage, I don't think a 5 mpg hit on hwy is acceptable. FYI with both having p235 tires your looking at only about a 1/2 difference in ground clearance. 8.85 vs 9.4 but it doesn't matter you are buying it and that's why they offer different configurations and options. These Mavericks are popular for sure. I’m in rural South Dakota so when I ordered my first one it never came in. They placed the same order again and it never arrived. Now I can go less than 100 miles and see several on the lot including a couple of Tremors last week. They cost 25% more than before but I don’t think the Mexicans making them any raise at all. So I’m still looking and what I’m seeing is some screaming deals on used full size trucks. No doubt I like these Mavericks a lot but my wallet is keeping me away. Your lineup looks very nice.

My thoughts...do it! That is the exact build I have in Park City. Remember, my videos are not test drives and walk arounds but real driving experiances and road trips. Now that the supply is increasing, you can probably negotiate to pay msrp. If they say no, walk away and the offer might change before you hit the door. It is hard to find the build you want anyway. Wait times are down so order a custom build, use Ford's build and price website. Also price a Lariat with the black appearance pack (to get rid of the brown and blue interior). For all you get, like adaptive cruise, built-in Nav, B&O surround sound, push start, etc, you may want to pop for that if you plan on keeping it and running the Mav into the ground. See my video uploaded 7-19-23 showing the 18 features not available on XLT only costs $3395 more, or $188 per feature. You will spend a lot more than $188 to upgrade the muddy sounding XLT stereo with only 25 watt speakers. Ask any questions. The KP is one of my favorite features. Even getting my sunglasses out while the Mav is parked in my driveway without having to get the key, very handy. Wait...Henry Ford is still alive?

Wow, a viewer from Ottawa! Welcome Bob. Thanks for your nice comments! I got tired of all the typical walk arounds while pointing at features and showing basic test drive videos. I show road trips and size comparisons to other trucks. Oh, and I don't make you stare at me, my camera is pointed at the Mavericks. Yes the AWD version like I have in Park City is the best all around choice. And the extra towing of 4k makes it even more capable. I say on my videos my first choice is my turbo AWD with 4k tow. And for road trips, the hwy mpg is not much different than the hybrid.

@@fordmaverickmaniac I find the fuel economy of the AWD 2.0l to be just fine for such a capable vehicle. The hybrids shine in city driving but are not much batter on the highway and you do loose a lot of capability as far as winter driving and towing. If you can only have one Maverick it should be the do it all AWD with 4K tow package.

We used to own a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD Ltd getting combined 16 mpg. So instead of a 1 Mav at each place and buying something like a Prius, we decided that the great mpg and capabilities of 2 Mavs at each home made more sense for my wife and I. At the price, it is like getting 2 for the price of 1 full size truck or SUV. Most people have 2 or more vehicles at their home. The 2 hybrids will stay at our place in HB for city mpg. The 2 AWD versions will be in Park City where there are many off road trails or for road trips to places like Moab in the Tremor. In the winter with the often extreme driving conditions, we never had to get out of the truck to put chains on the XLT AWD in even the worst storms. I posted a lot of winter driving videos from the last 2 ski seasons. A short but great question Michael! Thanks.
