Great seeing Lorne Liebel In this interview meet him a few times near Dufferin area back in the Day. First class guy and I’m sure he’s got some real crazy stories from back in a day. Looking forward to seeing him around TNT Got me excited I need to go and catch that boat race again!

Shane - great job defining the Blown Fuel Flat class make - up! So awesome that you get to do what you love for work, work with your dad, and race! What is a realistic budget to build an all new Hondo XH-511T BFF or Cole that could compete with your boat?

Super informative. As a first season drag boat racer, the testing, and learning of what your particular hull wants, is an ever evolving thing, Thanks so much for the video, and Jeff, thanks so much for sharing the knowledge, that helps, to make our boats improve, and be safer, doing what we love,

@@tonyortega9846 I agree. I feel like, all the podcasts collectively is one of, if not the best oral history/Docuseries of performance boating combined. We are so fortunate that this project is done out of the passion for the sport.

In my opinion, racing with the handles behind your back Australian style ruined the sport. Just my 2 cents. In 1970 I signed up for a 13-15 age class race with 33 other guys at Lake Millerton. I don't know if you could 34 ski racers collectively at a race in 2024. What a shame.

Racing to San Clemente, running out of gas, catching a goat and almost having to spend the night on a US Navy target practice site. That has to be the greatest racing story ever. I had never heard the story of the Catilina finish Mike described. Amazing ! What a wild way to finish that event. I had read about Chuck and Butch Peterson missing Catalina and winding up on San Clemente in Powerboat Mag years and years ago. What a story. I think I recall the 3rd skier might have been Rick Fowler, but I am not sure.

I sure appreciated that I found Greg Shoemaker at GS Marine in the late 80s. I had a jet-drive ski boat and was in need of something. I reached out to him by phone, and he was going to need to order what was needed. I did not know him, and he did not know me, so I asked if I would need to work something out for him to have money in hand prior to ordering. I believe that he commented something along the lines of I would just need to pay when coming to pick it up after it had arrived. I held up my end of the bargain and he certainly did as well.

Installing Keith Black power into the Aronow Unlimited U-19 " one-off built Seebold 30' tunnel boat. I crewed for our Mod-VP & also, Howard Arneson allowed me to join the Aronow team for the remainder of the Unlimited Series !! Thank you Jerry for the experience !!
