Congratulations! A very beautiful region. The house is in a very good condition especially considering its age and that was not inhabited for 20 or so years. The beams and the walls look good. It will need considerable work to make it usable all-year-round, but it is worth the time and the effort.

Greatings from Connecticut in the northeastern United States. You are starting with a beautiful old house which deserves to be renewed. Already the land looks much better and the views are fantastic. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to watching the progress. We are now retired (mostly) and about 3 years into a renovation of a 50 year old family home that was well maintained but never upgraded. Last week we had a new roof which was the last major project. It feels pretty good to have the basics done. You are far younger and have lots of time to make steady improvements. Enjoy the process and the satisfaction.

Please don’t use modern cement please use a traditional lime cement or mortar on your old stonework. This is important so stone can breathe and you don’t have moisture problems

I just found your channel , I really admire people who are able to restore and rebuild. Just because something is old doesn't mean it is useless , there is a lot of wisdom in living of the land , having a wood stove a well and so on . I had an uncle he was from Romania, there was nothing he could not build fix or repair . So God bless you and your family 😊

Remove the bats electronically but make sure all entry points are sealed so they cant get back in.

Bat 🦇 houses are cheap + easy to make. 🦇🦇 🦇 Bats eat tons of bugs, so I say YES 👍🏽

please do not put concrete or anything with ciment into the stone base of your house, you will 'kill' the stones. It should be a sand and lime mix only.
