This right here man. This is why love the series so much. The characters, the world building, the conflict, the laughs, everything is done in a way that wrap up a few loose ends. While Jonas is the worst grandpa, it was heartwarming to see him helping Hank getting closure while the latter reconciling with team Venture.

This was honestly the best way to end the series, given the circumstances. Doc gets several moments of genuine heroism, and a heartfelt moment in the stinger. Considering he’s been the show’s core, this glimpse of change, this hint of hidden depths we got in the very end is a love letter from the creators to the show and us the audience. Thank you, Doc and Jack

I love how the ending is an implication that there might be a new season eventually (even though there might not). But who knows. Perhaps Adult Swim would give Doc Hammer and Jason Publick one more season like hiw they renew Aqua Teen Hunger Force a new season. [Sigh] one can only dream and hope ...

Have to mention that according to director commentary, Dr. O talking about intermittent fasting was actually Steven Rattazzi unscripted explaining why he wasn’t able to come up with “chatter dialogue” for the ending scene.

So basically, everyone in the series has changed, except for the Monarch; forever locked into his villain cycle. There was an interesting Fantastic Four story (back when Marvel actually wrote stories), where Dr. Doom launched yet another attempt on the Fantastic Four's lives. Susan Storm asks the Thing "what is the matter with Doom? We've all changed over the years. Why hasn't he?" and the Thing says something surprisingly insightful. He replied "Well, what you have to understand about guys like Doom is.....they run on hate. It's like a drug. It's what keeps them going, and if they lose it, they don't know what to do with their life". I was hoping that there would be some kind of resolution between the Monarch and Venture; but, the Monarch continuing his endless (and pointless) cycle of hate is actually more logical.

Even in it's ultimate conclusion, The Venture Bros ends as abruptly and nonchalantly as any other episode. As much as it can feel anti-climatic, it still feels me with the same comfort of finishing an episode with a delighted grim. Peak animated show.

Glad they got the movie to end the story but they should’ve been allowed to do a season 8, they wrapped up a lot of plot threads but a full season would’ve fleshed out the show a lot more
