they really need to go back to this style for the paper mario series. I liked super paper mario, but sticker star was fairly bland in comparison. PM 1 and 2 really just nailed it for me.

And might I add that the 'Gamecube era' was my favorite era of video games? Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Parties 4-6, Kirby's Air Ride, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Paper Mario: TTYD...the list goes on!

I can see why you say that. Super Paper Mario was more like the Castlevania RPGs in that they were action-based and "metroidesque." In my opinion...turn-based is a bit more manageable. Action-based is really more for games like Kingdom Hearts and Castlevania, imo. At least in the RPG department.

This game is definitely my favourite game ^u^ I have so many awesome memories of it from when I played it as a child. Back then I never actually kept playing after the first boss, but I just had so much fun just wandering around Rogueport & the sewers trying to find secrets. BUT, the fact that they're putting the next paper mario on it, and are NOT INCLUDING the things that the fans of the series LOVE SO MUCH, makes it seem like the game will be not nearly as compelling/fun.
