No. Tf2 has always been a casual first person shooter at heart and not a competitive shooter. Stop trying to make this game like Counter Strike, Overwatch, and Valorant and it clearly isnt. Why do you think 2fort is the most popular map in the game? Why do you think random crits exist. Because news flash: It's a casual shooter and most people want to play the tf2 we've known not a bootleg counterstrike or Overwatch. No amount of money put into the competitive scene of tf2 will ever change that. And fuck off with that statement where you say the comp players can't take away what we enjoy about tf2 when it already happened in the past like with Meet your match and how destroyed quickplay, nerfed fun and causal weapons and gave us a barely function casual matchmaking system to compensate.

Playing medic and the entire team is either screaming for me, or i dont know where the fuck they are. Though thanks to Theory-Y, nowadays i set my auto call to 99% so any kind of damage indicates me to a teammate (or a disguised spy) which is nice, but it does get so fucking overwhelming at first, still is...

i think im a 2, i play a lot to win and i *try* to relay info in team chat about spies, sentries and so on, but i like goofing off a lot still, like even as a medic i like going for sudden plays that are inherently goofy and insanely irresponsible, though they still benefit the objective. I also minmax a lot of aspects, ive learned as much as i can about medic as a class to effectively build uber + critheals, ive gotten the uncle dane loadout switch keybinds, i start building uber at 30-20 second mark after helping with engie(s) with setup, i try to do counterplay with my loadouts like running uber if i notice their med is down, ill run gunboats if i notice the other team is playing more aggressively which necessitates me doing more dives and i prefer using the original over stock because i find the rocket feeling more consistent to use

when my friend started tf2 to help him get started i had 2 problems. 1 we live in different houses and the make a sever is only thru Lan. 2ed i couldn't help him unless i was nearby in a casual. #fixtf2coaching

I think it's weird to just not mention the main benefit of the Syringe Gun, over the Blustauger: that you get more passive healing while using your other two weapon slots. People dismiss it, but it's far from irrelevant and has saved me several times, and has saved me a trip to a health pack way more times than that. I feel exposed without the full passive healing. Obviously, the Crossbow is the far superior weapon to everything else in that slot, but the Syringe Gun also has much more consistent muscle memory to build than the Overdose, which is the most unwieldy weapon in the game, in my opinion. Overall, like most stock weapons, the Syringe Gun is well-rounded and fits right into the character's toolkit. Also, I really hope they never nerf the Crossbow. It's too fun. The syringes could maybe use added benefits, though. Maybe the stock ones heal teammates for 1hp each (maybe with reverse falloff like the crossbow), maybe the Overdose could be like a ranged but weaker Disciplinary Action, with a speed buff for both players, and maybe the Blutsauger would let the Medic himself heal off of teammates. Just off-the-cuff ideas.

i would save the heavy, mostly because of how close we are to enemy base, and the prospect of fighting a trickstabby spy on my own while most of my teammates are likely across the pond. I also just generally find it funny when i uber SPECIFICALLY to kill ONE guy, its fucking hilarious when i see a teammate getting absolutely PWNED and i just walk in and say "fuck this guy in particular" and watch them suddenly get cornered

The red light is also very useful against Soldiers and Demomen since if they hit you, they will also take splash damage. Making it the perfect "My teammates have all died" move.

I’ve recently got back into the game, and I’m relearning medic basically from the ground up, using all the guides you made. Here’s hoping I’ll someday be a medic player that you’d be proud of.

I remember the one time I tried playing Medic for the first time (I'm a Demoknight Main) I had no flipping idea what I was doing, an enemy Scout ran at me and by the Valve Lords, I got like 13 random crit syringes into the Scout's face

There are no bad medics, only bad teamates. No, it's not my fault that I'm balls deep into enemy territory swinging my übersaw like a madman. It's obviously the fault of our heavy not sharing that sandvich.

I use them to warn of sniper sightlines.

I'm a combination of Overly Aggressive and Accident Prone. The reason I keep dying, however, is not because I'm going in for the kills myself - I run Crossbow, Quick-Fix, Amputator for crying out loud. It's because I sprint over to whoever's low on health and/or calling for me, and that usually results in me walking into a Sniper's sightline or sticky-jumping too far into enemy territory with the team's Demoman. No matter what though, it's always something.

The solemn vow is a very good weapon. The 10% slower swing speed mathematically makes no difference. It basically has no downsides and a massive upside that allows you to get kills from across the map and see enemy Uber charge. Best of all, if you play with a friend then you can constantly tell them how much health the enemy their fighting has, or you can point out low HP targets to them.
