6:40 The Huo-Long Heater is useful if you're guarding objectives that Snipers can't aim at without overextending. After all, if the Scout jumps into your ring of fire for the intel, he likely isn't going to make it too far away from you without turning into a flaming corpse. This causes people to try to fight you from at a *distance* from the objective. Due to damage fall-off, this means you can sometimes delay their attempt to cap for long enough for you or your team to deal with the threat. Meanwhile, the Brass Beast has to compete with the Natascha, when it comes to being a defensive supporting-fire Minigun. They both have the same damage resist bonus, but Natascha is far less clunky with its attributes. Sure, the Brass Beast is the more damaging, but that damage falls off at-range, to the point where it can become barely noticeable. In exchange, you get the slowest rev-up speed out of any Minigun, along with the slowest movement speed while revved up. Speaking of, the Natascha can actually get more of a benefit out of that resistance than the Brass Beast, due to being able to rev-up faster. Personally, I feel like the Brass Beast has potential, but it needs a better focus and its own role, along with its own updated stats that are more synergistic with how the game is currently played. It needs a rework somewhere along these lines: The Brass Beast: 20% Faster Firing Speed. 20% Slower Rev-up Speed. -20% Accuracy. With these stats, the Brass Beast will become a more offensive Minigun, with its raw power being mitigated by its range (pretty much like a reverse-Tomislav). The damage bonus has been replaced with an increase to firing speed, since firing speed doesn't have damage fall-off. The faster you fire, the more bullets you fill the air with, and the more damage you deal overall. While the rev-up speed is slower than Stock, it's not as painfully slow as it currently is. It'll be noticeable, but not too punishing to play with, if you get caught with your pants down. While the accuracy detriment will make it not so good long-range, Heavy's a close-range class anyway. Plus, if a pesky Scout gets in your face, and your tracking's not the best that day, the extra spread may help you secure a kill that Sasha or the Tomislav wouldn't have given you. All in all, I feel like the Brass Beast could definitely use a rework, due to not being in the best of places right now, and these stats will change the clunker into a proper beast. The stats I provided are simple and straightforward, just the way the Heavy likes it.
