I was one of the few nationals that worked as a cabin crew/ one of the few pursers. Now me being bullied by supervisors was on a different level! I was being bullied for my nationality! Yes under the excuze of being paid more so some of those thought that i should work more! Luckily i always stood up for my self! And it worked

Other than the awkward passengers with cultural differences, none of these are terrible. I was working as cabin crew back in the 90s for a British airline and it was just as strict. These are just standards. People today cry about it because they have no discipline. A Cabin Crew role has lots of it, due to grooming requirements and health & safety standards. So if discipline is a problem for you, get another job.

Very similar at German airlines. The backstabbing is huge. Some pursers can be psychopaths. But I believe that this is the dynamic that management, nowadays, wants. They want the competition (survival of the fittest) environment, because it ensures that the workgroup stays in fear. Fear, and imaginary division is a tool to exercise control.

I understand that mean supervisors need help not debating that, but doesn't Emirates tell you that you should be presentable and smile all the time? So why would you embark on such a job if you are not willing to do that?
