That is why you do not question or "hound" someone with a dog in public ...they don't have to tell you anything and as soon as they tell you that it's a service animal ...you leave it at that... you don't ask for proof, for their tags, or ask why they are not wearing a vest or what do they need them for ... there's this lady that thinks she in the right because her dog is certified but goes around forcing her phone down people's that's telling them that their service dog isn't a "real" service dog... and too that lady sorry that you had to pay for your dog to service you but most people's pets learn to help their owners through actual love

I’ve done this before too, people don’t know how terrifying an episode can be, your best friend could be out to kill you for hours on end, I’ve called the people I was hearing just to make sure they aren’t around to confirm it’s my schizophrenia, I can only imagine how many people left here because they didn’t understand what was happening to them, praying for you brother, stay strong, stay calm, and use logic as much as possible

What's interesting to me is that if I lived alone, and saw someone in the hallway I would lose my shit. How do they hallucinations come off as friendly in a way where you don't get scared when you see them, and just start talking with them?

what bothers me is how crappy the health care system is in the states. it would be far cheaper to support the elderly and mentally ill in their homes, yet medical and medicare dont cover it, long term.

I may not have hallucinations when I am awake but I do have sleep hallucinations where I see people in my room, end up talking to them full on and even full on walking around my room, grabbing random things, thinking they are something else (Not to be confused with simple sleep walking and sleep talking) . It is really scary as when I wake up, I remember most of the things that had happened, knowing nothing was real. But I do have a dog who sleeps with me and even though he isn't a service dog, he has helped me with snuggling against me to keep me from walking and waking me up gently. We really don't deserve dogs
