Brilliant My Friend... I invented a SideBar tool in 2011 but yours is far more simple... You are brilliant ... Way to go... Probably should not be advertising this though perhaps...

I don't really watch a lot of lock picking videos, but once in a time it's OK and this one was tense! 👍 However, nearing the end I started imagine me in a position where I completely disassemble something and not care about having to put it together afterwards. Therefore I am slightly disappointed by the missing finale whereas you do each step in reverse :-)

When primus first came out I cut down a key so all it had was the finger pin cuts and the bow of the key was almost complete cut off. Using that as my tension wrench and rytan diamond hook was not able to get any play to get the pins to hold at the sheer line. Wonder if the tolerances are different in the newer locks. interesting watching this. Would like to see locks being picked out in the field in rain, snow temperatures below zero laying on the sidewalk to pick the locks at the bottom of a glass door. Try picking a padlock lock 20' up the the built in ladder in a warehouse.

OP is either lying, incompetent, or I'm the moron (usually it's me). If that 0.012 pick actually navigated that curved keyhole even with the abrasions why not show us while it's disassembled?

Yeah course this is easy to pick. It’s actually supposed to have a drastic curve inside to stop the “bendy” picks.

I thought the keyhole was curved ? What's the point of having a curved key when the lock can be picked like any other lock ? Would be better if the keyhole was curved

Nice work! I think it would be easier to start by turning all disks as much clockwise as they go using e.g. wiper insert. That way you don't need to play with two 0-disks to move the return bars to correct position to start picking.

So... the point of the chain key being floppy is because the lock makes it go round bends? And that's supposed to frustrate putting a pick in, because picks are straight? But the lock isn't bent _enough,_ so you can just use a normal pick? Or at least a thin one that will bend a little bit? That's a completely pointless implementation of a fairly good idea! At least have the lock channel bend round 90 degrees or something, or more! You'd still be able to pick it but you'd need to make a chain-pick, possibly out of a spare key you ordered, just file down all the bumps and leave a pointy one at the end.

@Buttquacker

The curve on that one is pretty bad. Not much of a curve at all. I have a padlock like this but the curve is at least 7-10 times more. You can't get to the backside with any straight pick at all. On the padlock, it's a VERY sharp curve right then back left again. This one looks like it's just very very slightly curved with 1 to 2 pins slightly out of alignment. Mine is like making a quick right and then a quick left.

Pro tip: peel on layer off a piece of cardboard and the corrugations will work better than some folded paper. Mine's held up for a couple months. Credit to the helpful lock picker [video 44] for telling me that.

Why is there no lock that combines the chain key, security pins, magnetic locking pin, and anti-bump and anti-pick measures in the keyway all at the same time?

At that point, I attach a 25 foot 3/8 chain with hook ends to whatever you locked up, and rip your lock off with my truck, only having to idle in drive at 5mph. A lock is a deterrent, mostly a mental deterrent.

This is actually the dMAX not d12. The d12 doesn't have "under" pin and instead use regular pin in that position. Should try the "System 10(+)" with 6 top + 4 side, or even the Triton one which has 6 top + 10 side pins. The highest security from ASSA ABLOY is Triton CLIQ which is electromechanical.
