Is the Abloy Classic more pick resistant than an Abloy Sentry? Not talking about the Protect or Protec2, just the Classic vs Sentry.

Great job! Your tool looks great, even if you hadn't just taken up machining. Have you heat treated your pick head and tension tool yet?

Thanks mate, I haven't heat treated the pick/tensioner yet. Prior to using it I was really concerned that it might need to be heat treated, but so far I have about 10+ hours of picking on it and there isn't any signs of bending or breaking. The tool even rolled off my desk and the tips stayed perfectly straight. For the Classic tool I used 1144 steel which was recommended to me by some of the hobby machinist forums. I will try heat treating on some projects in the future. I'm really curious how much of difference it would make.
