Literally read the novelization, and when I got to this fight and yoda was like “I just didn’t have it”, I was like WTF dude? did grandpa get arthritis or did Soda's (Yoda’s) drug dealer give him downers?

Something about that scene when darth tells luke he will convert his sister...seeing luke transition from love to hate in such an instant was amazing...the music and the camera shots was touching in a weird way. It went from loving and trying to help your dad to protecting my sister at all costs even if it means ultimately from you dad...the way the father knew what to say to bring that out of his son...kind of a powerful scene. Luke moving foward while his father backs up that camera shot is priceless..I can see how people can get emotional from this scene...it pulls the strings on your heart in a weird way.simple but deep dialogue.

The advantage Luke had while fighting Darth Vader again is that Vader can't do acrobatics in his armor. Also, Vader was lying to Luke & himself when he was feeling the good in him fighting against the bad. Vader had pushed Luke to the breaking point when he found out that Luke has a twin sister and will turn her to the dark side of the Force if Luke won't, after all that Leia & Luke went through since they were hidden from Vader when they were born by Obi-Wan Kenobi for their protection from the Emperor.

Imagine how difficult it was for Luke to keep cool despite Palpatine goading him to giving in to his anger and attack. When Luke couldn't contain his anger anymore and foece reached for his lightsabre and went to attack. Vader blocked Luke's attack to stop Luke from making the same mistake and falling to the dark side like he did.

Yoda lost this fight was only because of his size....if they were of equal sizes they'd have the same outcome....that's the only reason why the Sith won this battle

I want to underline that this is not what actually happened. At no point does Vader say "No. NOOOOOO" like a bitch. He just yeets the Emperor like a boss. The No's were added decades later and are considered heresy.

Sidious chucked them with gravity Yoda spun and threw them back with care and precision. Yoda could probably be just as reckless as sidious if he didn’t care about being careful

The whole point of the dark side is that its more powerful than the light side of the force. That's why people are seduced by it all the time. Nobody would be sediced by the dark side if it didn't offer benefits. The dark side cannot be defeated by sheer literal strength, as demonstrated in this scene. Even relatively low-level Sith tend to be stronger than even Jedi Masters, as seen in The Phantom Menace when a mere Sith apprentice, Darth Maul, is able to take on two Jedi at once and kill a Jedi Master with relative ease. Obi-Wan only survives because of Maul's overconfidence. Look at Return of the Jedi, what defeats the Emperor? Is it power? No, it's love that saves the galaxy. It's out of love for Luke that Vader/Anakin turns against Palpatine, and Palpatine's blindess to love is what leaves him vulnerable to Vader's attack. Palpatine never saw it coming because he doesn't consider the possibility that Anakin could still his son by that point. Had Luke and Vader attempted to fight Palpatine head-on with their lightsabers, I guarantee Palpatine would have won the battle. It took an act of loving sacrifice from Vader to defeat the dark side, not the use of a lightsaber or some big fancy force trick.

The entire Deathstar scene is so epic. Seeing this in the theater as a kid left such a huge impression on me. It's a shame they aren't able to capture this kind of magic anymore at Lucasfilm. Such a lost opportunity.
