Very honest review. This is a pro review. Things that were great were marked great. If it was shit it was noted as a far cry from the best he's had. I'll follow and like your reviews.

I was so disappointed with the product, it looked amazing, it tasted like nothing. Ellis Island has way better fish and chips.

Thanks for such a detailed review!! I felt like I could taste the lobster through the phone! I will be there on Wednesday!! So I clicked where you mentioned getting the 2 for 1 coupon. When I clicked it, it says i have to pay $50 for platinum membership to access that coupon. Is that correct?

My family is Cantonese and I’ve lived in Hong Kong / Guangzhou / SF Bay Area most of my life. Certainly understand that food tastes are subjective, but I’d highly recommend returning to this place. The service has improved significantly since opening. Also while expensive, the dim sum and other dishes I’ve tried here far exceed other options such as Tim Ho Wan and Ping Pang Pong. The preparation at Palette is much more contemporary compared to those restaurants and may not be for all. However, from my experience eating here on several occasions, the food quality is on par with the Dim Sum you will find in Richmond and the SF Bay Area - likely the best you will find in Chinatown Las Vegas.

Became suspicious with that decor and those prices. Seem to be catered to the non Asian consumers

We’d think that’s the case, and yet there’s plenty of Asians dining there 🤷♂️

How filling is the food? I plan on going to Vegas in December but is this place 'too filling'? Im worried about feeling bloated on my trip LOL
@franklyvegas3 ай бұрын
It’s quite greasy and comes with a ton of French fries or “chips”.
@loganlasvegas3 ай бұрын
Nice review! Appreciated your critical comments and things to watch out for. Prices seem reasonable, given average cut of beef at the grocery now is ~$14/lb here in Vegas. And you get all the fresh seafood and other items included with excellent service. Anything on the strip would be 2-3x the price for less. 888 Japanese (~$40) or most AYCE sushi places like Neko ($30) give you good value as well for those more cost conscious.

is there a long wait? im going to be in vegas this weekend

The few times we went, the line was at most 4-5 deep, so you shouldn’t need to wait more than a few minutes in line.

In this video he talks about this place palette tea lounge and Dim-Sum,and when I go to a Asian place I won't pay for hot tea,and although the food looks appealing, and the presentation, the flavors don't tell me the whole story, and although the menu is not long, I don't like ordering Dim Sum off a menu, rather I am used to the waitress walking around with there carts,but this place doesn't look appealing, other than the decor, and they don't have traditional Chinese foods, rather more like CHINESE/AMERICAN STYLE, as I like traditional styles, simple and simplicity but looks can be deceiving, but that's OK, because I don't plan on flying to Vegas just for the food, and I don't gamble
@franklyvegas3 ай бұрын
Dimsum places which still serve on carts are few and far between to find nowadays. I recently found one in an area of Southern California not usually associated with dimsum, that was surprisingly good. But that was a rare find.
Did they bump up the price, no thanks to that one tiktoker who dumped a bunch of uneaten lobster into the trash can?

25:35 I went to the one in Chicago and it was disappointing. First of all the wait is super long, it took us 30 min to get on the waiting list and it said it would be an additional 15-30 min but we ended up waiting another 2 hours. If I knew the real wait time we would have gone to another restaurant. When ordering on the ipad, some of our orders didn't make it to the kitchen and we would have to reorder it, wasted so much time because you only get 90 minutes. The food was okay, Korean bbq is way better for the price. We were going to get the membership but after everything we went through the family said that they didn't need to ever go back. Charging full price for little kids is not worth it. Next time I'll buy A5 Wagu at Costco and have some time left in the day.

So sad that people believe they can sell A5 Wagyu at all you can eat BBQ. I even saw one All you can eat BBQ advertise All you can eat KOBE Beef. Do some research please. Just proves most people just believe what's advertised. Would love to see KZbin that takes samples of meet from restaurant and prove the meat is not what the restaurant advertised.

This makes me wonder if there’s a floor to the threshold of what’s legally considered Wagyu or Kobe and how that tastes.
