We feel that going through this process actually heightens the experience for us, really making us pay attention and live in the moment as opposed to enjoying the food more passively. Definitely one of the better Las Vegas buffet videos I've seen, and I especially like your attention to detail. I'm a local, a former East Coaster who visits the Palms lobster buffet about every six months, focusing mainly on the lobsters. Rather than bringing wet naps, I bring a supply of the inexpensive, blue Nitrile examining gloves for handling the lobsters, stripping them off and putting on another pair for each lobster I eat, leaving my hands/fingers perfectly clean and not waterlogged. On each visit, I'm noticing more and more diners also using the Nitrile gloves, which I buy in boxes of 100 from Amazon. The new reservation system, along with the Las Vegas Adviser bogo coupon, which requires that you have a Palms players club card to use, make visiting the lobster buffet much more enjoyable than in the past.

It's been more than 20 years now, and after being long-time regular visitors we planned our move carefully for six years before retiring to Henderson. Don't miss Boston at all. Amazing. The cheapest buffet at the Palms in 2020 before they shut down was lunch at $13.99 with a low level card. Now, barely 4 years later, their cheapest buffet is the brunch at $32.99 (or a 136% price increase). They're not the only ones to have hiked prices like this...but it sucks.
