I'm late to the game, but I want you to know, as I listened to you, I remember thinking "Yes! It's about damn time someone spoke up!" Looking back now, I know you sacrificed maybe more than you bargained for. I hope it is some small comfort to you to know that there are MANY people like me that you never heard from that respect your courage, honor and sacrifice. All he demanded was accountability. What he got by speaking truth to power in addition to their silence: fired from his command, ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination, and thrown in the Brig. Hypocrisy, careerism, and corruption can’t bear the light of day. There won’t be any accountability and the beatings will continue until morale improves.

The only officer who has the real brass (below the belt) to stand up for all of us service members below who are held to a higher standard than our generals and CIC. Not a single one threw his stars on the table in protest or resignation.

Here we are a year later no accountability still!

Just saw the interview of one of the wounded marines Tyler Vargas on the Sean Ryan show. This was said the day after the bombing. His interview shed light on the massive leadership failures. It’s beyond belief…… the ground leadership of that incident received promotions while this marine called out the leaderships bullshit and went through the gauntlet of going against the Govt this is unreal

Keep speaking truth to power Stewart. There were hundreds of after-action reports through the totality of this conflict that identified similar kinds of weakness as we redeployed our forces. I can't help but Wonder how many of those remained purposefully unread by senior leaders
