30 years ago, Ugandan was refugees themselves, most of them died of HIV. At that time, I knew them when I lived as an asylum seeker in Kenya. They seem to forget what they have been through. No problem, Eritreans have some time left before the wind of peace blows in their country. This kind of jealousy It is not only in Ugandans but also in South Africans, they say the same thing. They said Nigerians took all our jobs so they had to leave our country, but they didn't say to the whites, the Chinese or the Indians. This jealousy must stop 🛑✋. That is why we Africans cannot flourish and prosper Jealousy 😔

Self hating of our black skin and people that look like us, black Africans hating Black Immigramts all over Africa. Self hate is a pandemic . Outsiders controlling Black puppet Governemnts- campaigning thru media to control black immigrants. Just like in Europe. Demonizng black immigrants, exajurated as "drug dealers, lazy, prostitutes , criminals, raping our women, unedicated, dont like work, they dont Marry with us/ they hate us, they think thier better than us ," ect, ect Hoever, in contrast.different treatment for white immigrants. ... Remember the Ukrain immigrants in Europe, U.S, were welcomed with red carpets, like kings and queens , with all accommodations ready upon arrival, food and shelter, money, jobs, including sympathy , assurance , dignity , and a hero's welcome ..was given to Ukrainians. Also The western, chinese and Indian immigrants that came to Africa because of shortage of land in thier countries , now are landowners allover Africa and live better than Africans. Some don't want blacks in thier restaurants or jobs, or Neighbirhoods. They just want your money shop at thier market, and want your land. No Black African ever complained..

Well, quite an interesting discussion, Joanita. However, there is something I was expecting to hear, but did not throughout your conversation between the two of you and Milca. When such community issues arise between the residents of Kampala and the Eritrean "refugees," I think it is important and necessary for the local government to know about them as well. The Rwandan community in Uganda have a representative in The Great Lukiiko of Buganda at Mengo, so do the Somalis I believe. Therefore, I suggest that the Eritrean leadership in Uganda should approach the local government of Buganda at Mengo and request to be represented there as well, so that when issues between them and the local community in Buganda where they live arise, they would have their representative at Mengo, to have their views heard where it matters.

This Eritrean lady was excellent. And did a good job. Ultimately the fault lies with the specific African leaders who have run their countries to the ground causing their own people to flee. Big up Uganda for accomdating different Africans. Eritreans are some of the nicest people I have come across. Their conservatism is what has helped them bind together, and contribute towards them being known as a "non troublesome" group. Africans should be supporting each other instead of being known in Europe as a source country of illegal migrants that need to be kept out.

East Africans were classified as Caucasians in the 19th century so the Europeans can remove Egypt from Africa, using the term, "South of the Sahara" and because they are lighter than those African they were taught that they were better/different. You hear the Somalians on Tic Tok all the times complaing about being lumped in with inland (darker) Africans. They even do it when they come to the USA. However, our culture is so world wide accepted, after a generation they align themselves with us, Like Nipse Hustle and Tiffany Haddish. But we are the only Blackfolks they do that too. And it's largely because we are not as dark and they don't stand out as much as they do in the dark countries of Africa. She's nice but the truth is the truth!

I have seen many African countries, and most of the resources and wealth are not owned by locals or even immigrants from Africa. I wonder when we Africans will wake up, feel at home, build wealth, and own the continent. All I have been hearing from the south to the north is, the locals pointing their fingers at other African immigrants. Please focus on what matters the most. How many more years will it take for us to wake up and own it? There is no guarantee of the future unless we progress as a people. Believe me, nothing is guaranteed!

The underlying issue is not their presence but how they conduct their business. They get remittances from their relatives abroad and they change the hard currency mostly in the black market and thus will have more local currency. This enables them to pay higher rent for the house they rented. For the limited supply of housing, this would likely crowd out locals who are not able to pay higher rents and thus either forced to pay higher or they will have to look for houses in the suburbs. There is similar situation in Ethiopia. To ensure justice for the locals the Eritrean community must exchange their currency in the official banks or they must be taxed for the income they are receiving in the form of remittance. Either or both of these measures will create a level playing field and their presence will not harm locals.

The fact is the Eritereans are Nilo/Cushitic Hamites being used by Museven/Kagame's extremist Rwanda/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamite refugee British puppet usurper dictatorship, to dominate the majority Indigenous Ugandan Bantu majority and Nilotic people!! I lived in Ethiopia when Eriteria was still part of Ethiopia and with other African refugees. As other African Bantu and Nilotic refugees we could not do what Ethiopian/Tigreys, Somalis and Eritereans, are allowed to do in Uganda. They wouldn't allow you or you could get beat up!! These are Africans who practically think that they are White!! I know that because I lived it and saw discrimination in Ethiopia!! They are plainly racists. One Indigenous Ugandan told me that he got a baby from an Eriterean woman regugee immigrant in Uganda, and his baby was taken away with the mother because he is too Black and Bantu Negro!! Ugandans should not be deceived by their crocodile tears. Frankly speaking the Eritereans, Ethiopians and Somalis are very racist towards all None Nilo/Cushitic Hamites just like their evil extremist Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamite cousins who have committed genocide on over 3 million Indigenous Ugandans and still refer to the majority Indigenous Ugandan Bantu and minority Nilotic Negros, as Abiru (slave) which is similar to what the Eritereans, Ethiopian and Somalis call none Nilo/Cushitic Hamite Africans, Bariya, and Abdi by the Somalis!! As an Indigenous Ugandan it saddens me to hear Eritereans, Ethiopians, Somalis praise their kindred Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamite genocidaires of over 3 million Indigenous Ugandans!! How can they fail to see the atrocities that are being committed by Museveni/Kagame's extremist Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led refugee usurpers of Uganda goverment!! I know that the presenters of this channel cannot even dare talk about the Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi refugee British/Western backed illegal occupation of Uganda and the systematic genocide of kidnappings, torture, jail killings and grabbing of Indigenous Ugandan ancestral lands, especially in the majority Bantu Negro ancestral lands of Buganda Kingdom. Many Indigenous Ugandans cannot freely express themselves. I am aware that this channel cannot be able to discuss how the Indians, Eritereans, Ethiopian and Somali refugees are being used by Museveni/Kagame's extremist Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamites to steal Indigenous Ugandan ancestral lands and even kill Indigenous Ugandans!! The situation in Uganda needs agent attention because a silent systematic genocide is being carried out by the Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led (Tutsi/Hutu/Twa) refugees. The Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led usurper dictatorship regime favors foreigners over the Indigenous Ugandan majority Bantu people!! The African public and international community must be quickly made aware of Museveni/Kagame's Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led refugee Western coveredup systematic silent genocide which has been taking place in Uganda since 1981 and after they captured power in 1986. Whereby someone looking at the program on this channel would not know that worse genocide than in Gaza has been taking place against the Indigenous people of Uganda, with Britain and USA backing since 1981!! With the refugees having also taken over the Ugandan opposition political leadership, using their children and relatives who impostor as Indigenous Ugandan youth activists, in order to preempt and block patriotic Indigenous Ugandans. Who would have named and exposed the refugee genocide on millions of Indigenous Ugandans since 1981, and the takeover of the Ugandan opposition political leadership by Bob Wine/Rubongoya's nepotistic Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led refugee dominated opposition political leadership, and the control of the old Indigenous Ugandan opposition political parties (DP and UPC) by Museveni/Kagame's Rwanda/Burundian Tutsi led refugee usurper dictatorship which have helped to disguise and block the Ugandan holocaust, under very watered down condemnation of Dictator Museveni election fraud, kidnappings and brutal killings of opposition members who are usually known patriotic Indigenous Ugandan youth activists!! Instead of them raising alarm bells about real genocide that has been taking place in Uganda, during Diaspora USA demostrations and townhall meetings!! I am a grieving Indigenous Ugandan relative and compatriot to over 3 million Indigenous Ugandan victims of genocide who has also escaped from being kidnapped by some members of Bob Wine/Rubongoya's nepotistic Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led refugee Diaspora opposition coordinators. Many unsuspecting patriotic Indigenous Ugandan opposition activists have been killed by Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi led refugee killer squads who act as genuine opposition Diaspora coordinators!! Some patriotic Indigenous Ugandan activist have been poisoned by Rwanda/Burundian Tutsi refugee women killer squads, found dead in cars. Houses, or shot in a city park, with some ran over by cars!! Yet this information has been suppressed by western social media platforms under the guise of all sorts, of excuses!! Something that they are not doing to hide the genocide in Gaza!! Imagine that this is information which greaving Indigenous Ugandans of genocide victims post, pertaining to the genocide taking place in Uganda and Congo. Where close to 20 million have died under Museveni/Kagame's extremist Rwandan/Burundian Tutsi Nilo/Cushitic Hamite led refugee hegemonistic instigated wars!!

Oh my God isolation in Uganda is always due to language barrier, or foreigners out right refusing to associate with the locals. My own experience with neighbours that don't speak English is that I badly want to talk to them and know them, but my hands are tied.

That is far from the truth. African brothers are most welcome in Ethiopia, even the statistics shows that Ethiopia is receiving more than a million refugees from difft African countries. Apart from this Ethiopia hosts half a million Eritrean refugees, these refugees live in difft cities not in shelter.

Anger and jealousy are two different things. When any new comer causes the local market to increase for renting places or other commodities, it makes the local population vulnerable of gentrification and this can cause anger. As an Eritrean my advice to my fellow Eritreans is to focus on their final destination in Europe/USA mainly for even better opportunities than in Africa or the Middle East. Having your own local church/Mosque is not really necessary, considering temporary home as a refugee.

@Dv-Ir8sec Your view is valid. The explanation to the statement would be as an Eritrean our geographical location hasn’t enabled us to have close interaction and inter communal integration with the rest of Africa in general and East Africa in particular. It was in the early and mid 2000s that Eritrean🇪🇷 refugees started arriving in Uganda, South Sudan and Kenya. Before our voyage as refugees we mainly stayed in Ethiopia, Sudan and Middle eastern countries trying to make our way in to the western world.
