Im fluent in spanish and english, and it's interesting how so many these words sound similar to spanish. Even the conversational flow is a tad similar.

Sou brasileiro e desde jovem sempre fui afeito às línguas regionais ao invés da oficiais, com poucas exceções. Fico muito feliz em ver jovens e idosos se juntando neste esforço nobre de preservar esta verdadeira joia linguística de Macau! Assim como o Mirandês em Portugal, o Macanês é precioso tesouro linguístico e para quem não gosta de línguas tonais como eu e muito menos dos caracteres chineses, este idioma seria uma única alternativa interessante para mim. Espero que cada vez mais vejamos esta maravilha em vídeos comparativos de línguas minoritárias neolatinas também!

Pelo que entendi, usam o arcaísmo AZINHA como "depressa"; usam o verbo no infinitivo (Macau de tempo antiga, quem querer?); no superlativo, repetem o mesmo adjetivo. Beleza de criação linguística!

@@renatojanineribeiro489 no Patuá existem resquícios do português arcaico, o que desde logo denuncia a antiguidade do crioulo. “Azinha”, “boniteza”, “chiste”, são exemplos deste arcaismo que não se perdeu no tempo. Obrigado por ter gostado. Note-se que a canção é adaptação linguística da marcha popular “Lisboa é assim” de Jorge Nobre. Bem haja!

Não é uma variante do português e sim uma língua crioula de base portuguesa. Línguas crioulas não devem ser tratadas como variantes ou dialetos.

Nossa as palavras ficam uma mistura maravilhosa, sou brasileiro de Cuiabá, Mato Grosso também temos muitas casas, praças semelhantes e músicas contando o cotidiano, até uma viola que só é fabricada aqui com materiais locais, tudo parece muito, janelas, casarões, luminárias... incrível.

I would really love to visit Macau : D I think as a Portuguese person it'd be really trippy. To me it's one of the most interesting places in China for sure.

Having been to both Portugal and Macau it definitely worth visiting. A lot of traditional architecture are being built by the Portuguese so you could see quite a few iconic Portuguese stuff like cobblestone street, porcelain tiles and the black chicken. At the same time some architecture also have Chinese design. You could also have what they call "Portuguese food" there but in reality they are more like fusion restaurants that has elements of both Chinese and Portuguese food along with a few food item from other Portuguese colony. Tbh I think if you ask most Chinese people about Portugal, they would think about Macau. But at the same time, they also have a lot of casino in another district. Those district are nothing like Portugal and they are more like Las Vegas.
