Ok So, I broke my knife's tip while splitting wood.
Hardness was probably a bit too high, as it broke only by the power of my hands and a finger size piece of hazel tree, which is soft wood.
Anyway, here's how to repair broken knife tip. DIY blade point fix.
You can either lower the back spine to the edge, or lift the edge to the back spine.
Lifting the edge to the back spine will mess up your edge geometry so we'll work from the back spine to the edge.
Now we need to grind the hell out of that knife to fix it, we'll give it a new point.
I used with success pavement, angle grinder, file, sandpaper, natural rocks. If you have a dremmel or belt grinder it's even better.
Shown it done with a multitool for demonstration purpose but a full sized metal file is more suited to the task.
As shown in the video you can use a sawed-off dead branch as an anvil.

Hi. How did the tip break? Im interested in that knife but now I hesitate. Maybe the IZULA is a better choice...

I got both. Izula is soft steel. It will be hard to break. Edge retention won't be as good, but easy to sharpen. It is also way bigger. That knife broke in a tiny piece of hazel, prying with my hands. It is extremely thin and hard steel

I like mine a lot, really compact, edge so thin it will stay sharp. It is my edc, including the woods. But it's not made to be a versatile knife. My Izula is extremely beat up but still going strong !

@@ARAW-__- I have a Victorinox and an Opinel for EDC and most of the tasks to do. Im searching for a more beater knife so I think the Izula is a good choice.

Definitely. The Civivi would do everything an opinel would. All cutting tasks but no force. The Izula is a sharp prybar, I batonned it with rocks to give you an idea. Made me want to use it again 😅
