Sadly, Kat's is out of business. I managed to find a 1500W tank heater for my '01 Dodge with the 488 V-10. It works wonders! The "new style" freeze plug heater was worthless, it kept the coollant from freezing, but that's about all. I plug this monster in and I can feel the warm air above the vents even on the coldest mornings and the engine instantly fires up.

Real cool tour man, thanks. Wonder why no one goes there to rework the tailings or strike up the band?

Nice machine, man. Just got my old B&D Type FE going this past week to clean up the valve faces for my '58 AMC/Nash Flathead 6. So glad I bought that thing when I came across it a few years ago. I'm quite amazed by the major differences between the old England made unit I have and your USA made Type NWA. Yours definitely looks like a heavier duty machine, but I suspect it's about the same era having the "wings" nameplate as well. Not only are these old units real machines, they're functional shop art as well.

I have owned one of those here in Australia for over 50 years ; it has always been shedded and is in good order. It’s main function is as a fire truck. I have reverence and respect for it and it’s designers.

Just be careful about the abbot rods as they deliver oil to the top of the engine. Don’t reve it up too much or you’ll blow a rod.
