In 1976 I traveled from Houston back to FW, TX. On the way we saw I state hwy 287 it told us it leads to FW too. We took it and ended on dirt road in the middle of nowhere, forest were all around us. We went on until we saw I. 45 again and were so glad to get out safely. Now 287 is all paved and wide.

I tracked down a long lost friend since 2001 yesterday. He used to live in Weatherford TX, than moved to Round Rock, later he's moved to just outside Tyler TX. The man just doesn't like big town. It took me 3-4 days to find him. Most sites want money to share his info. My persistence helped to locate him. I found address, email, and cell phone too. Thanks Google

Best thing about living in Texas, which I did as a kid and then for another 35 years was growing up, “rough and tumble” and then getting the hell out of there as an adult

Why don't you seem to want to cover the art you come a cross a bit more thoroughly? You Just walk by it like it's not worth your time. Too bad! You should make an effort to do so, for the viewer's sake to share in your experience!

We were there a couple of years ago. Not sure if you knew, but, it was the setting for the series “Longmire”, which we loved. We were surprised you didn’t mention that because it was everywhere. On another note, just wondering why Nicole hasn’t been imbibing lately?? Inquiring minds want to know. 😊

The westerns town are great. It seems nice and quiet out there. I figured the restaurant would be old fashioned. I never seen a restaurant with deer heads on the walls for decoration, it gives out the western vibes. This must be a hunting community.

Another superb travelogue. I wonder if you would consider digging a little more into the facilities and shops on what you call Main St (or is it downtown). What we in England call the High Street. A lot of the High Streets here in England are starting to look a bit gap toothed and tatty as supermarkets and internet mail order companies eat into High street viability. There's a real push back going on to save the High Street but it seems to be a loosing battle. All the best from across the pond.

I was in Buffalo, Wy. Twice in my life. First time in 1962 with the Boys Scouts. There was a public swimming pond with a diving platform. The next time was in 1974. My car needed a rest, so I went for a walk with this feeling that I had been there before and sure enough I found that same swimming pond with the diving platform. I’m google earthing it now and can’t find it. Oh well. Things change in 50 years.

Joe, the car in the river (creek) was probably placed there purposely to protect that corner from erosion to keep the adjacent road stable. I have seen that done in the hills of Utah in my boyhood in the '60s which would be correct as that car was from the late 40's to early 50's. Another very good video. That hotel / bar was very interesting. The plaster work on the ceiling would be very difficult to duplicate today because it is a lost art. The houses in town were also interesting and quite eclectic. Living there however would be challenging as the big city is quite a drive in any direction. I live remote here at Canyon Lake, however the 7th largest city in America (SA) is a 1/2 hour drive away. For Buffalo, Wyoming that is not the case. The winters are also quite severe. After the 1st winter many people leave Wyoming because it is just too difficult. I'd rather deal with the Texas heat. You don't have to shovel heat but you do have to shovel snow. I don't see many people wanting to live there. A nice place to visit but not a place to winter at.

350k for the little house on Wyoming. The cars in the creek were put there to stop erosion in the bend of the stream, TVA "Tennessee Valley Authority in Tn did it until the 80's using old vehicles in the bank then cover them with stones. To answer Nicole's question on the Salmon it is not a common species for Wyoming
