Haven't played Astro Bot myself (I don't have a Playstation) and while I don't really give a hoot about the Game Awards, it's pretty nice to see a wholesome rated-E 3D platformer gain the spotlight for once after so many years of "narrative" garbage. More often than not too, they'll have a handler/media company MCN or talent agency that manages or owns them with a contract and pays their internet personalities and gets them sponsorships like how Asmongold Zack's with Night Media which may or may not be owned by Disney. Cr1tikal/Charlie and Mana Talent group. Muta with Maker Studios Inc. Ludwig, Kai Cenat, MrBeast (formerly Night Media, now it's a different company because of Ava Chris Tyson drama), Dream (I forgot who this is lol), Hasan (yes, him) and xQc with Evolved. I don't think Critical Drinker is a "pandering coward" at least when it comes to Troll's remorse, but I wouldn't be surprised if he also works with a talent agency or management; he's already in bed with Hollywood and interviewed figures like Ben Shapiro while trying to get his own action thriller espionage series adaptation off the ground from his books.

The reason they dont make new games is they are too expensive and people wont buy a new ip and making games exclusive to a console is bad because it costs too much money to make those games so they always end up porting them to another system unless you are nintendo.

It's absurd to label the strong female protags as a bad thing or cant be taken seriously, not saying everyone has to enjoy a protag women in a "alpha" role in post-apoctlypitc world, it's about how it's executed, like any other idea in a creative medium, if you simply don't like it that just has to do with taste and knowing what you want out of the things you consume; whether it's good or bad taste depends on person to person.

This is nothing new but it continues to be relevant but remakes are never of the games that need them instead it's always just a way to double dip on already good games and ultimately that makes the remakes inherently inferior. Ever since Capcom has been on their remake spree I've wanted a remake of DMC2 because that is the perfect example of good ideas bad execution in a game, it makes tons of quality of life improvements over the first game, has several good novel mechanics that to this day were never iterated upon despite their potential, and even has some of the best ham in the series, but messed up on such fundamental aspects of the game's design that the good ideas don't shine like they should, remakes as a concept were made for this type of game but they'll never touch it because 2 is infamously boring and thus not a safe bet in the corpratized risk averse culture.

i think people hear "art" andthe first thing that comes to mind is a pretentious college graduate trying to sell you a square saying it has some crazy meaning, but designing a fun and engaging game is definitely an art and that's why these devs trying to follow their pre-packaged formulas can't really get it right.
