Does the axe head have a hole in it for the shaft? Or did they lash it on, or was a hand axe? Maybe the mud is so much thick I can't see. These are great finds and these vids are also great finds for us, cheers!

Correction! Gustav I Wasa actually minted coins in Finland in the 16th century and those coins are very valuable! Erik XIII (of Pommern) for instance also minted coins in Turku all the way back in early 15th century!

What is the law about searching with metal detector in Finnland, you need some kind of premission from land owner or special document?
@LorenLemcke4 күн бұрын
You need permission from the land owner, also all finds over 100 years old must be reported to the museum agency. Also there are a number of restricted and protected areas to avoid.

Make sure to treat the bronzerot/pest
@TheWinstonDouble3 күн бұрын
It may not have bronze disease. Not all corrosion is destructive. Most times, the corrosion/patina actually protects the core of the metal. It sort of sacrifices the outer layer to form a shell around it. Some of these bronze artifacts can be dug up, and with just a bit of sand paper and a polishing cloth, will be brought back to looking new. (Don't do that to any actual artifact. That was a fun fact, not a suggestion.) 😊

I agree 100%. I'm from the uk and i currently own the deus 2 master and i have been detecting on and off now for about 9 years. I have had many detectors in the past such as, minelab explorers, orx, garrett, blisstool, teknetics t2 and some others. They have fount me some decent stuff but my first ever detector was the ace 250 and that has found me my current best ever find which was a celtic brooch dating from 100-200 AD. Could the other detectors find it, yes of course but the cheaper ones will also find it. It's all down to preference and budget and the land your on. If you walk over it then most detectors will find it 👍🏻😊

I bought my first one at a garage sale, after a few months bought the simplex. When I realized it wasn't great for the beaches and saltwater went to the nox 700. I was completely unprepared and overwhelmed. Granted I found a few cool things, it was just too much, also any videos I watched the vdi numbers were completely different from what I saw. I'm now going to look for a new one in spring, one for saltwater too. If you were to take a shot at buying a new machine that tackled being able to stand up in salt water what would you pick. Also I love how informative this was I'll definitly re think my approach. New subscriber here

Im flummoxed when it comes to the higher end detectors ,im not good with technology in fact a complete luddite ,and there is soooo many settings to decide on with all these expensive detectors .ive found lots of stuff with my garret AT pro its quite simple with its settings . at the end of the day you've got to walk or swing over that elusive Hoard many have set there hearts on ,we will always find something and at the end of the day there's not that many hoards out there to walk over , Just enjoy the hobby and don't spend money you may not have , enjoy been out there in Gods creations and get peace of mind ,if you over think and over reach in metal detecting you will be disappointed .

What you are calling a lead seal stamper is a British made saw medallion. The Warranted Superior medallion was used by several manufacturers of saws. I find a couple every year in the States with an eagle but the British version will have a crest with a lion, unicorn and a crown

Realy loved your content, learned a lot..I was looking at buying the Xterra Elite or Triple score but leaning to Elite ,both are in my price range. You had a lot of good to say about Triple Score but what do you think about the Elite?
@LorenLemcke9 күн бұрын
Honestly the Elite is every bit as good. I lean ever so slightly towards the Triple Score because I have had more first hand experience with it. This makes me feel confident that there are no 'quirks' with the machine that only reveal themselves after many hours of use. I don't quite have that level of experience with the Elite, but honestly Minelab's product design and Multi IQ is very well matured, I wouldn't expect any quirks from it either. No wrong choice between the two.
