Glad you can get out and get some rays and digging some shine:) I've had my Manticore since March 16 and really enjoy it. I find it more sensitive to all targets which can be aggravating but it also gets more quality targets. I've gone back to old spots and dug multiple silver coins that my Equinox 800 missed - 54 so far. I'm also digging fewer nails now that I know how they false using All Terrain General. I will eventually mess with other settings but happy for now. Enjoy the warmer weather and HH!

I am really liking All Terrain High and Low conductor. They both work well in my soil and for the type of targets I am looking for. Congrats on the silver coins!

Great video! I'm wondering if you operated with a slightly ground negative ground balance, if your target selection, over time, would improve. In your heavy iron fields of dreams, would ground negative ground balance improve sensitivity, separation and reduce falsing? My soil is extremely neutral, air testing produces valid representations of my soil. 😂 The freshwater sand volleyball court ground balances to '2' and the turf '5'. The trash in my yard ground balances between the mid 30's to 40's (Trash Ground Balance, TGB), I set the TGB to 5. A test that someday I will perform is to measure the range of the ground balance against the Recovery Speed setting for a given Search Mode. I'll contrast the High and Low conductors to see what difference there are. I think this will give me a good indication of the room that I have to adjust the ground balance to be ground negative or ground positive. It will also indicate the relative mineralization of the soil. Thanks for sharing your adventure, and I hope Minelab listens and allows the speaker to be used in conjunction with the headphones. I have messed around with ground balance settings like that but could never find a measurable improvement on depth in the wild. It would be that here depth is less important than separation in the heavy iron.

@@LorenLemcke During a live stream, a KZbinr was having a difficult time with falsing. I suggested that he try to shift the ground balance to ground negative. It helped, didn't totally solve the falsing, but he was much happier. He was using a Nokta Legend. Finding a measurable improvement is what I hope to discover. I want to test how much the affect of Recovery Speed has on the ground balance threshold. Decreasing the Recovery Speed should move the the threshold to ground positive, and decreasing it should shift the threshold to ground negative. I should be able to measure that with a re-blance of the ground threshold. If the soil mineralization allows. For now, I'm going to keep in mind to try manually adjusting the ground balance if I experience falsing that can't be solved by other means. Paystreak Superfreak informed me that the XP Deus II while in multi frequency can only ground grab. The operator can't shift the ground balance threshold. That surprised me.

Glad you could get out, looking forward to your hunts. The 2D screen has lots of potential in my opinion.

Thank you! I do think the 2D screen has real potential, specifically because it can convey some info that cannot really be heard. Its much more useful than F/NF gauges and the XY screen on the Deus.

You're off to a good start this year, congratulation on the Russian Silver, she looks in really good condition, must be high silver content. I'm already looking forward to the year in review of your finds. I'm also interested in seeing what you have collected and deemed as trash. How many 5 gallon pails will you fill in 2023? 🤔 GL👨‍🦯HH

Haha, oh man I find tons and tons of trash! Definitely could easily fill multiple 5 gallons pails. Thanks! I also found gold, but I am a few hunts worth of footage behind atm.
