@@VicHollinsart 😄A question about Talens' gouache, I'm using pebeo's gouache paint and it's very easy to be lifted even it's dry. It's not easy to do layers. Is Talens' easy to be lifted after it's dried? I mean using a soft brush with cream consistency. thanks!

@liliamandaart I haven’t used Pebeos gouache before so I can’t compare the two for you but I will say that I don’t have any complaints layering/lifting with this gouache! Perhaps it’s worth trying your Pebeo on a different surface? I mostly use Aquabord, which allows for easy lifting! If the pigment doesn’t stain, it will go back to the white surface. So if Pebeos Gouache doesn’t lift there, it won’t anywhere! Haha I hope that helps 🥹💕

@ thank you for your reply.😄 I'm looking for gouache or painting surface that the paint aren't so easy to be lifted otherwise I would be mixing paints with the underneath layers all the time. Mixing is needed sometimes but in my case I'm seeing the layers mixed all the time even I let enough time to dry. 15 minutes plus. In your video Talens looks good. I'll try it. :)

Oh my! I see~ 15 minutes should be plenty of time to let the lower layers dry. Even if you’re using a ton of water! But it sounds like you’re doing everything right with the cream consistency. I hope that trying a different paint or surface helps with your lifting issue 🥹💖

Ah I'm sorry to hear that! Sometimes I'll keep the lid on and squish the paint around in the tube if there seems to be too much binder at the cap. I love the idea of cutting it from the bottom though!~ ✨

But typically I will take some neglected art supplies or paint colors that I don't normally use and see if I can come up with a palette I haven't used before!
