Production of the new mod is coming along, although slowed due to one of the guys working on it not being online lately. The guy who is making the mod is importing some sound effects and music from other games.

There's a far corner you can dig to in the North-Western edge that slugs cannot reach. Relocating your base there makes the level trivial beyond that point.

It was a full-body texture *and* model replacer, yeah. KZbin is weird about linking in comments, but there should be a functional link to the original Nexus file in the description of the first video in the playlist.

Managed to get this working on windows 10 but has anyone who has played it experienced the martians drop pods arriving very quickly so not able to build up defences? They appear very aggressive.

Seeing the Chrome Crusher work is a thing of beauty. It's easy to see why most people don't bother with the larger miner vehicles when you can get this.

Thanks for the upload! I remember playing that when I was a kid. It was just moments before I learned of The Sims existence. I don't have the game anymore and I've heard it's impossible to boot it on 64 bit PCs, so much appreciated for that nostalgic trip :D

Glad to help! :D Yeah, for better or worse, I saw the writing on the wall when disk drives started getting phased out, and figured -- for archival purposes if nothing else -- it would be good to make sure there were recordings out there for people to come back to.
