I come back almost 5 years later and still admire the ballsy-ness of this book. They said, “we’re gonna ram notes, and you’re gonna like it.” This line was so so cohesive too

Congrats Cabs! Excellent playing of those parts which are also very interesting. On a slightly negative note, I go back a ways when people liked corps that portrayed a style that went along with their name like the Kilties (Scottish) 27th Lancers (British), Bridgeman (Broadway) Troopers (American West) and yes, the Caballeros (Spanish). D.C.I. has pushed a certain style so it is impossible for these corps and others like them, to portray a style consistent with three name any more. It was a great time in drum corps that is gone. Anyway, a big congrats for your achievement and your hard work to play some very complex parts. Congrats to the writer for some meticulous scoring of the music.

This brings back memories of when I first tried learning drumline music in 2019-2020. SCV was definitely the standard of the hardest, highest-reward music for me. This is that.

It makes the rim physically wider, so you need about a cm less lug torsion. This lets you crank bass 1 very high without putting massive stress on the hardware
