I would buy jeans, a breezy summer jacket, short sportier shoes for riding a motorcycle instead of the uncomfortable very warm leather clothes and boots.. But I'm afraid that it won't provide as much protection..

It won't. But it's a matter of protection vs comfort. If you're concerned about maximum protection, a full 1 piece leather suit will keep you safe, but you will absolutely sweat to death on a 90° day
