You would use a ROAS on a Layer 2 switch and an SVI on a Layer 3 switch. Enjoy your studies!

On a layer 3 switch is ip routing enabled by default or is this a step we need to perform in global config mode?

It might vary from platform to platform. So, I like to always give the command to enable it, just in case.
