I have your program on Udemy and bought the Cisco Press book for the 100-150 exam. I passed the CCNA 3 times over the last 8 years and now going for the ENCOR 350-401 exam. The CCST is a great review.

Finally I took the exam online with Certiport and the Onvue application from Pearson vue. Overall it was a good experience and a good exam that was quite facilitative in the sense that the multiple choice questions and drag and drop questions were graded with partial credit (not like the exams in the Skills for all course). I had a final result of 959/1000 for 40 questions :)

Could you please tell me how to prepare for the exam .I am currently learning from Skills for all Career path for network technician and doesn't know if it is enough to crack the exam.Could you please tell if there is something i need to prepare than that like books something

@@WeAreOne675 The Skills for all courses were enough for me. Sometimes the course goes too far into theory. You will also need to check the topics and themes that will be covered in the exam and focus on them.

I wanted to thank Kevin and his udemy course. I spent about 2 months going through the training provided by CISCO but was having a really hard time retaining information or connecting the dots. I picked up kevins course and oh man. There is no fluff and having each topic explained in individual videos was perfect. I crammed his entire course in about a week and using his course and the free practice tests in the cisco course I passed the CCST first time with a great score. Having the course be 1:1 with the exam objectives really helped me stay organized and easily identify areas I needed to review or re watch the video. I cant recommend his courses enough, they are perfect for my way of learning and being able to focus and master one topic at a time.

I wish there was an exam that was between difficulty level of the CCST and the CCNA. I’ve already taken the Network+ exam. I won’t be using half of the stuff in the CCNA, if I took the exam. Does anyone know of such an exam?

That’s a great question Matt! I think both courses do an excellent job of providing basic networking knowledge. Network+ covers a wider range of topics, while CCST Networking is more Cisco-centric, and you learn more router and switch configuration skills than Network+.

What would you, Kevin, or anyone else who has an Idea, think is better/recommended to take, CCST or Network +? I am not planning to take CCNA later, just want intro knowledge and certs, then I will follow MS/Azure path

Never expires. That not an issue now as Cisco finally taking leaf out of Microsoft and let you re-certify by accumulating CE in their rev up recert program. As for this being an entry level cert for technicians I think it still lacking behind A+ even though Comptia's version is 2 exams. If Cisco made this exam easy then too many people pass then the value of this cert goes down. I hope I am wrong

On the fence about this exam. I feel like I could be ready for the CCNA in a month, but on the other hand this will help me in the job market a bit. I'm someone who has 4 years real world networking experience, understands protocols from ARP to OSFP. I can throw together a network running OSFP with LANs terminating intervlan routing on a layer 3 switch or using ROAS in GNS3 or Packet Tracer... so I'm really stuck. I do think this exam will take me very little time to study for and will give me a great fundamental review. If any experienced network pros come across this comment. Any feedback is appreciated between continuing the CCNA or stopping for a couple weeks to prep for this exam. I got an 85% on the intitial exam. There were a lot more Transport layer and TCP/IP questions on this quiz than I've come across within the 200-301.

If you have the time and money, the CCST would be a good certification to verify you have solid fundamentals while having something tangible to add to your resume. Plus, it doesn't expire!

I had the same question, I am more interested in the CCST Cybersecurity and the Cisco CyberOPS , I am thinking of the CCST-Networking, just not sure if I should take it or not and concentrate more on the CCNA Level, where it has more value or demand from employers.

The CCSE course on skillsforall has tones of errors and is explained in s super technical point of view. They make the learning material as confusing as possible using twisted and unclear sentences.

It's definitely more basic than Network+. The Network+ covers a broader ranger of topics. However, given that CCST is a Cisco centric curriculum, it does cover move router/switch configuration than the Network+ does. Personally, I would rank it CCST, Network+ then CCNA in terms of difficulty.

It really depends on personal preference. There's been plenty of people who has gone straight into CCNA. It's not impossible. However, the level of difficulty for studying and retaining information would be much harder to do if you don't have prior experience. If you want to start off with more of an entry level fundamental cert, then go for CCST. However, keep in mind that CCST isn't as well known as the CCNA cert.
