Nice. I will definitely have to do this upgrade for my main slide. My upper and lower slide rails don't seem to be the same length or the installer didn't clock the lower rails with the upper rails right e.g the upper rails have a large bow when fully extended or retracted. Instead of removing all the components and reclocking, could the upper rail be cut shorter after the bracket removal? I need to think about this before I make the order. If my slide is 100% retracted, from the outside, the top of the slide is very tight, and the bottom of the slide sticks out a little bit.

Tip: if you left your filament in the air for to long you can put it in the microwave if that doesn’t help put it in the oven at 230c so it can melt and the air will escape

Love these. Is there a different design for the upper and lower tracks. I’m assuming I’d need four per slide?
@Little-Enterprises
@Little-Enterprises 8 күн бұрын
@@ralphsarc1471 Thanks. Each slide typically has four rails/racks so you would need 8 to upgrade the whole system. You also need to know what style of end brackets your RV uses. Typically notched brackets are used on the outside and flat on the inside, but each RV is different.

This is good for long term storage but what happens if you only use the filament every few weeks. It gets irritating throwing away those storage bags every time you want to use your filament.

That's why you make it a little bit longer on the end. So when you cut it, you just cut the tip of that and open it and then you reseal it again cuz you had extra length

What about galvanic corrosion?
@Little-Enterprises
@Little-Enterprises 10 күн бұрын
@@MrPancake0825 thanks for the question! The aluminum end bracket is going to be hard anodized that will break the possible conductivity between the nickel plated rail end and stainless screws/springs. The other possible areas are between the nickel plated rail end and the anodized Lippert rail and the stainless pins. Nickel is the less noble metal, so that would be the first after many years to show signs of corrosion, but because the surface area is so small, it is not a electrical part or submerged in salt water, the rest of the Lippert system will fail first. I will supply a small tube of dielectric grease to keep things lubricated which will also prevent corrosion. The parts will have a lifetime warranty, so the customer can request replacement if by remote chance any of this happens. Thanks for the great question!

I did the same today but with printed small boxes for silica gel. And my question is. Is it good idea ? Or better to use activated alumina ? Is it that big different ? And question how’s about the rolls ? Are they going to be kind deformed because of high pressure inside the box ? My ones are looking the same like yours 🧐
@leeroykat6546

Activated alumina is the least toxic and has more absorption power. The negative side is that it doesn't have a color indicator. Also alumina last longer, while silica is slowly destroyed after each regeneration

Previous association with Yoshimura is a plus but that's way too expensive. There are drill jigs on Temu for less than $10 that will do much of that. The only thing that I don't see are cheap jigs for drilling across the flats of hex head screws. Nothing that cheap will have your fancy hardened bushings and dowel pins but most of us are using it on 10-20 bolts on their own bike and ending it there. Suggest that you hook up with a Chinese manufacturer, simplify the design, and get the price down to $10 or so.

@@briankinnear9386 thanks for the question. As mentioned in the video, I measured four different rails and all of them were different measurements tooth to mounting hole. I took the average. That’s the only way to get everything synchronized.
