I’m in Australia and as a couple we don’t spend anywhere near that much on food but we don’t eat out all the time. That is one luxury I would keep if in Thailand. The Thai food is the best in the world.

That lake you were at the start, is called Šmartinsko jezero, and It's a man made lake, from 1970 as means, at least at the time, to protect Celje against floods from the river Savinja, at least the kinds of major floods Celje experienced in the past. Of course, later one, additional steps were taken to protect the city from floods, with the most recent being completed just last year in 2023, when a large area by the river, on the western part, was dug out, to create a floodplain.

I hope, when you went to our castle, you went to the most south-west part of it as well, because that side of the wall faces the city, and gives the clearest view upon it and the Celje Basin.
