No manual option, V6 when it should've been an I6 or V8, chocked full of nanny aids that drives the car for you? Everything a skilled performance car driver ever wanted! LOL I would rather pay 100K for an R32-R34 GTR (with a manual and proper engine) than to be given an R35.

They did not bust it. Drifting is faster on lose terrain (snow, gravel, dirt, etc) and gripping is faster on gripping terrains (asphalt). Making corners less than 90 degrees in high speed makes it inevitable and faster as it allows the front of the car to stay in place while the back rotates so you can begin accelerating sooner. Its also better for the breaks in appropriate terrains. There is a reason that show ended.

tried this once… 95% of the time its a pretty dumb thing to do but it definitely make sense… but you have to make sure the road isn’t rough and bumpy otherwise you’ll just spill the water all over the place however anime road condition doesn’t apply to real life road condition

It only sucks if you're comparing it to modern cars it was never designed to go against. It still is fun in a vacuum and for someone who just wants a fun time, it's fine. The only flaw is that it's overpriced.

Takumi only uses the water cup on the uphill delivering the tofu, but on the downhill he has no tofu and doesn't need the water in the cup, so he's being trained being able to balance the car's weight distribution on the uphill but also being allowed to be free of the limitations of the cup on the downhill, for every single run. Bunta was absolutely genius in the way he was teaching Takumi without him even noticing!

@mnhusin5096 ай бұрын
Althought circuit racer always said grip is always faster than drift, But rally drivers always slide their cars in every corner, no matter they drive AWD, RWD or even FWD. And now i know why, they slide because they cant grip on loose gravel, so drifting is faster and safer option, they perfected their techniques for it. So gripping is faster if you use wide, slick and warm racing tire and switch them on the track. But on narrow hard rubbers as cold as tom shelby wich is faster? I dont know but drifting always cooler

You're complaining over the stupidest reasons ever you literally know most of the nice things you're gonna get when you're buying the gtr. The design hasn't changed that's one absolute undisputed fact but you have the most versatile engine you can touch 1100hp with a stock block v6 engine. That's pretty impressive so idk why you're complaining about having to upgrade suspension and stuff like kid that's literally what all of us are doing right now with every single car we all own. No matter what car you buy guess what? You're gonna wanna change something and it costs money:

With left foot braking FWD can push harder in corners. RWD requires sensitive control because it's easier to spin out. Basically all rally cars are AWD or FWD for that reason

The question you have ask yourself is do you want streetability or trackability. You can spend thousands and thousands of dollars to make your super car to drive like formula 1 in track, but unable to to drive on rough bumper to bumper local traffic streets and daily it. You need to understand why the GT-R was developed in the first place. STREETABILITY, RELIABILITY, and MAINTENABILITY cost vs other super cars comes first with GT-R. You need to do more research about GT-R and its history. You need to compare apples to apples. I am sure if Nissan spends enough $$$$$$ and charge you an arm and leg for you to acquire one. If you can design a better GT-R with current pricing point, then come and talk to me. I will invest all of my asset into your company without a question.

Wow! Excellent video. 2007 R35 owner for 9 years, agree with all the points. I wanted a cheap, modifiable 600hp (for reliability/boltons) road car that appears stock. 7yo daughter grew up in the back seat and is my daily. Highlight is entire north island and south island of NZ over two days - michelin star drive in a modded R35. For me it worked/works, your points are fair. I think it may age like the 300zx with all these "unobtainable" JDM original door liner/back seat or bespoke part that every previous owner threw in the rubbish prior or every part associated with a engine/Trans failure will cost the moon not in modified but as a original Nissan/NISMO product. Its a dream car and in a few days it will cease production.

No one, in today's car scene, considers the GT-R as a Super Car (SC) In fact, it's been called the SC kllr. Maybe back in 2009 - 2012 it could've been considered as one, but in today's market it's nothing of the sort. It's $200k less than Lambo and $75k - $125k less than some Porsche SCs. In today's car scene we're purchasing used GT-R s and modifying them to kill those cars significantly more than the GT-R. Who buys a SC for a luxury ride? If you want a luxury ride, try a Benz, Bentley or Cadillac. No one purchasing a GT-R in the spirit of what it's for is looking for comfort. Yes, I own one and it meets my expectations, annihilating Vipers, ZR1s and sport bikes. Yes, it's modified, but the costs is nowhere near the cost of the aforementioned SCs. Out dated, I'll give you that, but I'll line it up against anything and know they'll get a run for their money. The GT-R is a sports car, not a SC. No one I know refers to it as a SC. It's clearly evident you never tapped into the car's true performance bc so many of your concerns would be mute.

I agree 100%... but undeniably as you put it the cars saving grace is the price and aftermarket support. instead of putting 300K into a turbo S, I can put 200K into buying a new GTR and 100k into mods and come out the other side with a 3-5x better performing car. There is no faster street car. The GTR is king of roll and dig races. Texas2k 2023 shows us that the nissan v6 is more powerful than an R8 v10 or huracan v10 or Viper v10 with the proper mods. Track performance is a different story. I imagine it would end up being a similar story however with the money in mods being spent in the right places to gain that track performance over the straight line performance. That's part of the beauty of a GTR is that it can be molded to be anything you want that will outperform anything when you look at it from a Price/Performance stance. Yes it needs a better interior, yes it needs to be updated to the R36 soon, yes it's not a german made car. However it is less expensive to maintain, less expensive to replace and has way more aftermarket support. great all-around car and super valid as a daily or race car.

I bought my 2010 GTR (manufacture date Jan 2009) new. It wiped the competition back then. Spend $5000 in mods (tune, intake, exhaust, suspension) and it still eats almost any new car made today. I laugh every time I remember how reviewers complained about the dual clutch transmission and AWD. "It drives itself they said" and it's too big. Now every Tom, Dick, and Harry car has a dual clutch, and electronics that drive the car! And now they are great! Yeah TESLA!!! >5000 lb. is great and steers like a boat! Spend $300,000 on a supercar, and you may spend $600,000 in repairs! I know a friend who owns a Ferrari 458 Italia, and it is in the shop more than it is on the road. I'm never selling my GTR, it does not suck, and I don't want to get wrapped around a telephone pole driving a light rear wheel drive supercar going 100 mph around a corner, check out KZbin. What happened to Paul Walker?

Don’t know why I just ran into your video, but you did so well on the cars explanation. Never really loved the new GTR, I find it as an insult to the older version. However you said it well, because of this older companies up the game and now I’m in love with the new versions of Chevrolets, Porsche and so forth (except Mercedes). Lol I have my issues with there “learning ecu” it has so many flaws and goes right around your experience with consistence of driving. Good video. A car guy like me finally.
