Is there a way, instead of using elastic, to use velcro for the back closure?, if so, how would you adjust the pattern? They used to make them that way and It was very snug on my head, which I liked, I am scared the elastic will not make the cap snug enough for my head.

I’ve just rewatched this series - especially the double pocket. It’s been a couple years since I made my last NCW. I make the original size at 106% so my cell phone fits inside better. Your instructions are fantastic and your videos are my go to for a refresher. The double pocket process is just genius!

Great video, had me scared for a few min because I just bought the same machine based on other reviews saying how it goes through multiple layers. It's good that it can handle a few layers of tech 69. Love the stitches, they look industrial.

I’m going to make an XXL NCW. I found your Part 1 (making templates) but I need to learn the step before that: how to enlarge the NCW pattern to the correct size to make it XXL? What % of increase? TIA

First, use a leather neadle for leather and second, this mashine is not for leather- mostely some mashines can handle thin leather but it's not good for mashines often do so. Thats the reason because a busy sewer will need more than one mashine, in my case i use for leather a strong Vintage mashine who can handle this properly and its made for that. Most of my mshines are straight stitch but my zig zig mashine ( also a Vintage Singer 216G) is useful for sewing my edges well. I love old mashines, made of metal, plastic brings vibrations while sewing so a Juki is surely a very good mashine. As mostely, is not the mashine a problem but more the person, which doing wrong things or got no idea about. Thanks for your vid!

Hey Debby. Great video, tjank you, bought the pattern to gratitude wallet ❤ if I want to put a zipper in this little, can i do that?? Do i have to use 1 side gusset in each side like the big gratitude or can i do it with 2 on each side like in the video?? In Denmark we only have the small one in almost 5,5 inch, can I use them and just make it wider
@DebbyHunker
@DebbyHunker 11 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, you can use the methods for the Gratitude wallet if you want. Because A Little Gratitude with the smaller bar clasps is quite small, there’s less bulk at the fold if you use 2 gusset pieces. If you’re using a larger clasp, then it would work to just use one gusset piece.

When sewing in the elastic, do you catch the elastic in the fold, or try to keep it loose in the fold?
