Back to basics: painty papers

Today is my first time in my studio since before surgery. I'm so happy to be creating again.
My friend, Sharyl ‎@thewholebucket897 is planning a #justthebits series in January or #JustTheBitsJanuary. It's like a prep time for the year and I think this counts. These pages will be journal pages or ephemera bases or #collagefodder in the future. But for today, it was just fun playing and spraying.

Hi Darcy! Welcome back! I've missed you. Please take it easy, we can deal with 15 minute videos 'til you are ready. Fussy cutting is a good way to be "arting" without having to lean over a desk or sit up straight. I had the same surgery. The weight loss is the best part of it :-) . Hang in there and don't overdo it!!! Love ya! Loosheeah

Great to see you in your studio! Some of my favorite colors are pink, turquoise or teal, and silver. I also like burgandy, gold, and blue. I love oodles of colors. Prayer said for you and your family. I'm laughing about poop on the brain. One of closest friend's sisters has ovarian cancer and another condition. I literally pray for her sister, by name, to poop. Dogs have fur, but we often call it hair. We have 3 dogs. Dog hair is the accessory that goes with everything. I had a large ganglion cyst surgically removed from my right hands a few years ago. I would wake up with my splint on a dog, or a dog on my splint. It had dog hair in even the deepest layers. I was shocked as I watched the doctor unravel it.

Hi Darcy, I loved the freedom with which you created these bases. It reminds me that I haven't played to that extent with that much freedom for far too long. Is it any wonder I chose Risk as my word for 2025? Thanks for this. As someone who's had multiple surgeries including a big one last year, I totally hear you. The mind may be ready but the body & endurance have something else in mind. Most of us are not the 'laying about' kind of people. We push too hard most of the time so the screeching stop to resting is tough to handle. Hazel

Gorgeous papers. I was thinking, when you said about using things around your home for mark-making etc, you can make foam stamps. I decided not to buy foam stamps via places as I was overwhelmed with what you could buy and I wanted it all. So I make foam stamps using Fun Foam, just the kids' stuff & I have got really good with it now. So I can make what I need and I don’t have to wait days or weeks for it to arrive for virtually 0 money. So easy. (I saw someone use those spirally circles you used, so started off by making those). So yes, I feel very creative and don't have to think about copyright if I want to scan & print. Take care- thinking about your recovery 😊😊😊💖💖💖
