Living in St Vincent and the Grenadines now so I am looking for boat ideas to do short hops between islands?
@MrRickyZ1232 ай бұрын
I've actually fished (at night) the RV park area of Bird Island Basin, and I've caught decent fish in the past (nothing huge, but some nice keepers). It has always been my go to. I didn't know about that trail that leads further up the shore though. Thanks for that. Great video.

@@djskullballpythons158 not at all! I just had to show the receipts of the building material and register it as a home built boat.

Noob question, looks like scarfing, can i do butt joints instead? You got some serious skills.
@YouTube_user33333 ай бұрын
Unfortunately butt joins in plywood aren’t strong enough. Just use a straight edge and a small router to lap join. Personally I’d do 2inch laps. Hope that helps.

Olá amigo quantos hp tem esse motor?
@HerveMendell4 ай бұрын
Man, that motor seems so gianormous nd excessive for that little mini-skiff. I bet a 5 h.p. would push her along just fine; probably would even plane. Better yet, put an electric on it and be eco-friendly and sneak up on those fish.

It just barely gets up on plane with the 8 hp. Works great for what I need!

Hey bro thanks for the video showing the Packery flats spot, I waded out there fished the drop off and caught 9 fish! It was fun and very wade- friendly especially with a south east wind. I was scared walking under the powerlines 😂

My son is trying to decide on a skiff design to build. I was hoping we could stop by and look at yours but since you have moved do you know of anyone in the Corpus area that has built one that could give him some useful tips. Mainly on the fiberglass work, do's and don'ts.

How long does it take to paddle from the Wilson’s cut launch out to that shell beach you mentioned? Seems like a decent ways…
@SchwindOutdoors7 ай бұрын
With good wind conditions, you can paddle there in about 20 minutes. You just have to watch the wind while you're out there. It can be a challenge getting back if it picks up!
