If you have the creator combo rather than buying the Dji mic 2 combo could you just buy one more mic2 for £89 and then connect both mics via Bluetooth? Would the work together?

Amazing tests, as a conclusion I suppose the batteries are good but not that great of a value considering (no fast charging and less battery than the pocket 3's internal battery despite the size and cost)

It was a panic release GoPro have their new 360 coming September or their about. So insta wanted to get in first and relinquish folks of funds beforehand. Being someone who would use it for bike riding I’m always sceptical on the waterproofing as in the uk you’ll be riding along in nice sunny weather then the next it will be raining 😂. No one ever seems to shot footage in cloudy rainy days and lets be honest not everyday your out is great weather

Buyer beware. Ive now had 2 of ecoflows 160watt portable panels. Both have failed within 9 months. They put out 1/4 of their rated power after 9 months. One was replaced under warranty and the replacement panel they will not replace. Customer service is worthless, they know nothing about their products.

Thanks, I've had the RS for about a year and purchased it more for low light better quality video. I just ordered the x4 only for its faster frame rates. As a professional, these cameras have their place for fun brole and action style shots, pro cameras can not get.

I wonder if the panel is using MPPT controller inside? A victron MPPT attached to these panel would even be greater I would think

One more down side to the X4 to add is insta360’s removal of the Apple Watch as a means to control and send GPS data to the X4 in favour of their new preview remove.

You have a high pitched noise in several of your videos, here I noticed it begins at 11:36 until 13:01, and again at 14:21 until 14:31. It may not be audible to older ears but it's extremely bothersome to those that can hear it, just FYI.

This camera sucks, I bought the same card and when I go to play back vid, it’s black. It wasn’t at first, then I exported it and it’s just audio… then I went to format SD card again, and it overheated. Can’t even format the SD card, it gets so hot I can smell burning plastic. This is why I hate buying new tech. DJI needs to make this right. I was only recording on 1080p 30 fps too and I have a shoot in 2 hours

What size pv cable were you using for extensions? 12awg, 10awg or 8awg. They are also offering these panels with a new metal kickstands.

Danke, gutes Video! Habe meine gestern bekommen und bin doch sehr ernüchtert. Wie man auch bei deinen Aufnahmen sieht, entspricht die Bildqualität leider nicht dem, was "8K" suggeriert. Schon beim schauen auf dem Ipad finde ich die Qualität grenzwertig. Aber auf meinem 77" Zoll Oled sieht der Content wirklich extrem schlecht aus. Wirkt wie das Bild einer 20 Euro webcam.

It is an issue. It overheated when I pulled over on my motorcycle to text my friend for like 5 minutes. If you're recording and it is in the sun it is going to overheat before 10 minutes. I didnt know and lost like 45 minutes of riding. I didnt buy this camera to record in 5k. It doesnt say on the website when you buy this camera that it WILL overheat if it sits in 1 spot and records.

i can see a market for extended battery pack makers to make: an adapter that slots in while improving cooling using a vapor chamber. or a third party thermo grip that has heat wicking but using a metal grip might interfere with the wifi signal.

It seems if one want to have another one (got a x4 already), the additional photo/dynamic ... x4 is better especially the 11K killed it and also the exposure to see both indoor and outdoor. Hence, likely to get another x4 instead (the reason coming to watch this) and it help as backup/battery/charger (in the backpack).

What shoe were you using when mounting the original DJI microphone? Is it the "Insta360 X4/X3/X2 Cold Shoe" ?

That review absolutely convinced me of the right decision to go with the X4 as my first Insta360 cam after ~ 4 years as a faithful GoPro Max user. I know the Max is way outdated and I was mildly tempted to switch to the X3, but the X4 really won me over. The resolution difference you showed is night and day! Easy to tell the difference immediately. And the bigger battery makes perfect sense to handle the power draw of 8k. Every decision that goes into a 360cam design is a trade off. FWIW I still think the Max is a bit more robust than the X4 and GoPro has always maintained a great subscription service to replace a Max that I pushed too far. That said, I’m excited to get to work with my X4.

Great comparison. I own the x3 since 13 months and will not upgrade. I was even wrong with your indoor blind test. Ok, outdoor was clear, but still ok for me. Next update will be the X5... should be in approx 12 months😅 It would be great if you could proof your guess with the disadvantage of X4 and weight/size on an 3m selfie stick.

I recently got an X4 (mainly for the 8K mode, as i also have an X3), so its good to know that i shouldn't run into overheating issues (especially as i tend to record for no more than 10 minuites at a time) (and im a bit annoyed at having had to wait around for three days in a row for the delivery as on the first two days the driver must have gone to the wrong house)

Hi can I collect 2 DJi mic 2 to X4 without the DJI receiver?

I like 360° video for photos and exporting videos to watch on a 4k TV of my travels and as I already have the RS 1-inch Leica 360 I understand that it's not worth selling it off to buy the X4....

Nice review. The problem with all 360 cameras is that (rendered) video output is no better than 2.7k, which is fine if you are watching on a smartphone but not good enough for playback on large 4k TVs
