I can tell you personally as a Lyrical Blues player that Frank is Singing Notes rather than playing licks. It's where the emotion and melodic passages come from. They come from the heart more than the head. The Human Heart has 40,000 Neurons in it and they can store and release memory. What else can our hearts do? Play Blues like Frank! Your hearing real life experiences in this song. It's why he can play Blues so effortlessly. Frank has felt pain and disappointment. So have I.
