I'm back on my bleach sh*t
btw this isn’t a tutorial-I listed my steps to be clear about my process, not as instructions to follow! The only thing in the video you should listen to is when I tell you to wear gloves with bleach lmao
With all of the hair bleaching going around youtube this year, I couldn't resist going back to my old ways. But this time I tried to be smarter about it! Hence the coconut oil, the 30 vol developer, and the not washing my hair for a week after bleaching lol.

Me when my purple ends washed out into bright blue and I suddenly got more compliments for that than I ever did for the purple before it. Haven't redyed my hair in months and now it's just slowly getting more and more light blue over time but I still don't hate it.

I have one tip as a professional hairdresser: please dont use coconut oil on your hair! I could go into the science behind it but I'll keep it simple- 1.) coconut oil cant penetrate your hair so it doesn't benefit it at all. 2.) Coconut oil + bleach is EXTREMELY damaging to hair! It's better to just use bleach no coconut oil (part of the reason is bleach heats up and oil + heat = cooking) 3.) Coconut oil can leave a residue on hair that blocks moisture from entering your hair AND if you use hot tools it is once again cooking your hair. 4.)anything you put in your hair prior to bleaching can affect how even the lift is and make it splotchy. I did want to say though that you did have really good application techniques and I feel it would have looked even better and lighter if there was no coconut oil lol ❤

It will make hair "feel" better because it coats it like I said but that's also the reason it is bad for your hair because it is a layer of oil that if heated cooks the hair and even if you dont use heat it is blocking real moisture from the hair.Coconut oil hides damage and then makes it worse over the long run. I reccomend Jojoba oil for hair because it is the only oil that I know of that has particles small enough to penetrate the hairs cuticle. Still do not soak your hair in it during bleach

Wait about 3 weeks, redo your roots and add 20 volume to the rest of the hair it will lighten up and you can tone it easily. I think a slight purple toner (should make Grey/platinum hair) would look awesome on you and it will also cancel out the yellow :) and make a nice contrast to your natural colour

I’ve never heard of leaving coconut oil on the hair while bleaching. And I’m a hairdresser. Interesting...🤔 I actually really like it but I think you should’ve left the bleach on longer so it was more pale blonde and it so brassy. Maybe toned it. I think it looks cool tho.
