What I Did + the Time Spent:
1) Shave sides, minus ear tails and cyber edge - 20 minutes
2) Reshape pixiehawk and cut bangs - 35 minutes
3) Apply FoB hair mask to bangs section - 5 minutes
4) Bleach round 1: ends first and then roots - 65ish minutes
5) Process bleach for 5 minutes, then rinse
6) Re-shave sides (not included in this video, but it's on my Patreon)
7) Fill ear tails w/ red - 15 minutes
8) Process red dye - 30 minutes
9) Mix a custom brown shade to match natural color - 15 minutes
10) Dye ear tails back to brown - 15 minutes
11) Process brown dye - 1 hr
12) Bleach round 2: ends first - 50ish minutes
13) Leave the ends to process for 5-7 minutes
14) Bleach the roots - 20 minutes
15) Process bleach for 5 minutes, then rinse
16) Dye everything red except ear tails, which get a refresh of the custom brown - 1 hr 15 minutes
17) Process dye for 6 hours, then rinse
Done! Total time: roughly 13 hours

it's hair, and it will grow back, so you should go for it! if you don't like it, you could always cover it by parting it on the other side. it might seem scary but its honestly a good experience 😊

sometimes I cut my own hair, and I think it's not a big deal to cut hair or to lose hair, even if it doesn't look good when it's over, I'm just like it's just hair, it'll grow back, but then I forget that I changed my hair, and then I wake up the next morning, look up in the mirror and I'm super surprised

I just want to say thank you for giving me the inspiration and motivation to do a death hawk dread look. I have severe trichotillomania and it upsets me greatly, not many medications treat it and the one that does help the most (low dose naltrexone in my opinion) isn’t covered by my insurance. I am so happy and feel so much peace and relief just thinking about keeping my hair in this style- I had dreads before in high school but the shaved sides are going to feel so nice and freeing since I have pulled so much hair from under those areas it’s raw and sore. I thought about trying to get dreads locked up around the bald spots and just filling them in when they grow but I feel so powerful thinking about this hairstyle. I just hope I look half as beautiful as you in it! Please send me good thoughts ❤️ and thanks again.
