I am Japanese and often visit parks in Tokyo. Thank you for giving me this wonderful video. I really enjoyed watching your explanation of not only the Splash Mountain ride, but also the surrounding atmospheres. Actually, it seems that Splash Mountain in Tokyo will not be around forever, as the store in Critter Country is closing and we are gradually hearing the end of Splash Mountain. If it turns out the way I imagine it will, this video will bring back some memories.

One of my missions for this video was that I hope OLC could see it and maybe there was a one in a million chance that they would realize how special this property is and they would fight like crazy to keep it. It's a "David vs Goliath" fight, (OLC vs Burbank) but I was a fight that little David one! I'm crossing my fingers and praying. I know Walt Disney is also looking down from Heaven and rooting for OLC too! ;-)

At 4,000 ISO? Yes. The A1 is better than the A7S-III under 12800 ISO. The A7S-III only takes over after 12,800. I never shoot anything over 4,000 ISO on a Disney show. You don't need "gain", you need actual "light" instead. Fast primes do that for you. More light always beats more gain (ISO)

To be honest, I do like Tianas bayou but I love splash mountain more. But I,m not sure if splash mountain would have aged well with fans of the newer generation.
@CLIFFLIX3 күн бұрын
I would argue that there are many older attractions that do age perfectly well. Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are much older than Splash Mountain and both do fine. Splash Mountain is HIGHLY popular in Japan so there is no CERTAINLY need to worry about it there.

Amazing video again as always! Welcome to Japan! I'm so glad you made it! Hope you enjoyed your time at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. P.S. Fun fact about Splash in Tokyo: the angle of the last drop actually changes with the seasons! In summer, the drop angle gets steeper, but in winter, it becomes a bit gentler. Wait, is this only a Tokyo thing, or did the WDW and California versions have this too? One more fun fact: the sponsor of Splash in Tokyo has changed before. It used to be Nissan, but now it's Kao, a Japanese healthcare and cosmetics company. Kao even added a 'hand-washing area' where you can literally wash your hands with Mickey-shaped soap!
